Of course. It’s a vurp, but in reverse.
Or maybe a lot more. They’ve just behaved so far.
I forgot about the gravity wells in the middle of the picture.
That was fun. The most gutter filled re-watch yet. Let’s try to top ourselves next week.
IYKWIM!
Yeh, I had a lot of fun also. I guess the ladies aren’t down on the Matrix. Catch you on the flip side.
Odd, that. I never really thought of The Matrix as a “dick flick”.
sorry I couldn’t manage it today, boys (though it looks like you had an…um…interesting discussion without casilda and me to girl things up). couldn’t get my hands on a copy of the flick in time, but I’ve got Reloaded on the TiVo, so I’ll be here next week if y’all are still up for it
Are you willing to “go down the rabbit hole” with us, IYKWIM?
That’s something I wanted to figure out. Do you guys want to watch the animatrix next week or just move to the next movie? The other option is making an unofficial frak party thread like I did for the Clone Wars cartoons during the SW re-watch.
After tonight it will forever be known as such. I am having a hard time understanding why so many die hard (oh, there is another series to rewatch) scifi fans don’t have copies of Matrix. I am not sure that the Animatrix needs to have a official frak party. Like you said TF, it’s like Clone Wars, more filler info.
Yippee Kiyah Motherfrakkers!!!
True
I’ll make a thread tomorrow.
I totally missed this. I was busy with family and stuff. Sorry peeps.
Lady D, so true.
I was, alas, in the middle of a 10 hour drive. Which I get to make again, tomorrow. (fun, right?)
Oh dear. I’m not sure that’s the best way to get more participation in the frak parties
Oh, no! I totally think that the Animatrix deserves its own frak party that I will try to make it to. That’s my second favorite of the four movies!
Well the first matrix was a special movie for me, first off its full of flaws huge flaws and i could overlook them; not because of the cool effects or bullet time. but because i walked out that movie and there was this strange feeling that i wasn’t seeing what i thought i was seeing. not in a i’m super cool, machine fighting, flying, trench coat wearing superhero kind of way, but more of a brain biology and physics kind of thing. how we see and perceive things yet, is that what they are? or just the best construct our minds can make. to experience the world around us. its a small revelation but it still was a revelation.
still to this day i can watch this film and think about that afternoon walking home form the movie and literally looking around viewing my world a little differently.
its a mark of true art
So I finally re-watched The Matrix.
It’s sooooooooooo much better than I remembered it being!
I’m going to blame my memory on Reloaded and Revolutions. Just saying.
There were all sorts of cool things I forgot about (like all the fights! How did I forget about that?), but I don’t have any really profound anything to say about it - for whatever reason, unlike BSG, Star Wars, DS9, etc, Matrix just doesn’t send me off thinking in other directions. Though I do think the whole idea about fate vs. free will (though you get that in any story with prophecy and oracles) is interesting.
Came across this funny thing from one of my Twitter buddies
“ Yo mamma so fake
She’s the first thing you see if
You take the blue pill… „
So You’re the Kelly that everyone is going ga-ga over ~_^ hee… good on ya :>
