So, what is the allure of playing again? Playing a different class or going totally renegade? I can’t imagine the story changes that much
So…I am about to go out on the Ilos mission (not a spoiler, right?) and I noticed I have a bevy of little one off missions racked up as I have been focusing on the main plot and I have found I am racking up the booty (IYKWIM). My question is, is this a strategy people employ? My assumption is that crates and the like seem to match your current level (you don’t get Pistol Is for example). I have left the main plot to mop up these others and it is working well…do others do this as well or do you address the subplots as they arise?
True the game doesn’t change that much but there are different missions based on whether you’re Paragon or Renegade and different missions for the different backgrounds you choose for Shepard. There are some really funny lines from not only Shepard but from your squad that are easily missed on the first playthrough. Plus, if you don’t find Liara early in the game she becomes kinda crazy from being stuck in that Prothean machine for so long.
I find it enjoyable to replay it many times for a few reasons.

I still haven’t done every side quest available

I could listen to Jennifer Hale deliver the lines for female Shepard all day long, especially the Renegade lines. Most of the voice acting for this game was great but Jennifer Hale was fantastic.

The game has never played exactly the same way twice for me so it’s still interesting even after so many games.
I’m working on all those little off-missions too. However, I SUCK at decryption so I end up spending omni-gel. And I need that stuff to fix my Mako when I’m fighting!
Correct. I’m getting mostly “VI” or “VII” level stuff and rarely get the lesser items.
I’m planning on starting a 2nd game and doing all of those side missions, especially the citadel ones. I just wanted to see where the game went so I played straight through my first game. And now that I’ve learned more about setting my crew, weapons, upgrades, etc., I expect it to be a lot more interesting.
Had to share this…I howled with laughter as I have thought the same thing:
OMG, am I having deja vu or did they just completely plagiarize the trinity? Maybe with a copyright of 2007 they are safe but I swear I remember that same joke in the Podcast (somewhere in the 70’s maybe). Lucky for us they speed it up a bit in the PC version.
That is sped up??? Wow…I am not sure I would be able to survive the 360 version if the elevators were slower!
so funny and so true
So frakking hilarious! The other slow-(sorry Barb) thing: Decontamination when you return to the ship. My Gods, that takes forever!
