Mass Effect News!

The change of appearance will be welcome. ME1’s character editor didnt let you turn the face. Which is a real pain when you make everything ‘perfect’ only to find out you look like a skeleton, or your nose looks more like a beak.

What kind of bonuses do you get for the various level ranges? Wonder if its worth taking one of my playthroughs to 60 ( I think I landed somewhere between 45-55)

That’s odd, I could turn the face. I played on a PC. You had to left click (or right, hmm) and hold and pull the face sideways or up or down. Trying to get the face back to the middle was a pain though. It wasn’t a complete sideways view but enough to ensure you weren’t some buck toothed, chinless wonder.

I could turn the face as well.

I will be an Infiltrator again now that I understand my mistake and will just choose Assault Rifle, though playing Soldier was great because I loved using any weapon at any time.

But those tech powers are to die for.

Wow, I cant believe I didnt figure out how to turn it! I remember trying and it not doing anything. I need to reinstall, lol.

I was an infiltrator as well. Ran on pistol the first run thorough and but found assault rifles a much better all around weapon. The sniper rifle has limited uses, but when it can be used – wow! I dropped a lot of points into sniper and had a blast.

First minutes of ME2. Shows off the ship, some crew, and bits of an opening level. Not the very beginning of the game, but very close. The video is under 16 minutes. Some light spoilers too I’m guessing.

Dunno what the bonuses are, they’re keeping that under wraps thus far

full cinematic trailer, 3 minutes

frackin awesome!

I’ve gotten to that point in life where the new stuff is an affront against nature. That’s just scary good.

Im going to play the frak out of this game! I cant wait!

ok I’ve got a question here now

I’ve been trying to stay away from a lot of ME2 previews but I finally watched this one

…why exactly is Sheppard working with Cerberus now!!! I read both the books and all the info from the last game points to the fact these aren’t nice guys…I could see maybe Renegade Sheppard working with them but why would good Sheppard be working with them and have a direct comm with the illusive man?

A greater evil perhaps. The enemy of my enemy etc.

Anyway, I’ve pre-ordered my copy. Just like Dragon Age, each retailer is offering a slightly different version. Very annoying. Still, I can’t wait.

It’s my understanding that the only difference is you get armor and a weapon from Gamestop and you get Infernus armor from everyone else.

don’t forget you also get ME armor if you got Dragon Age when it first came out!

I’ve got mine coming from gamestop, I figured more free stuff is always good

I’m currently trying to figure out a way to get the Infernus armor on top of my gamestop preorder. Might try and get another Gamestop code and then trade it for somebody with an extra Infernus code.

Why you might ask? Cause the Infernus armor looks dooooooooooooooooope

Edit: Inferno*

drool

have you seen the Blood Dragon armor as well?

I can tell you my team is going to be freaking awesome looking right off the bat in ME2

If I do manage to get Inferno, I’m totally rockin one dude in Blood Dragon, one dude in Terminus, and one dude in Inferno.

Probably going to be Shep, Thane, and…GARRUS!!!

Check out this post I made on another forum back in december of 07

 1. Continue on as your Shep. Correct
 2. Captain Kirrahe as a squad member Well…there is a Salarian <_<
3. An evolved Geth as a squad member CORRECT
3. Going to the Quarian Fleet and seeing a Battlestar or a Quarian named Adama or something of the sort cause I mean c’mon. That whole storyline IS Battlestar Galactica We do go to the fleet and if there isn’t a BSG reference I will be Soooooooo surprised
 4. A playable flashback sequence that is different depending on what your past choice was. IE: War Hero you flashback to the Skyllian Blitz and shit. Not confirmed or unconfirmed as of yet
 5. Customizable Mako New vehicle so no confirmed, nor it’s customizability
 6. Customizable Armor (IE: Remove certain parts, replace them with differentparts, paint them differently, they get damaged the more you wear them/take damage and you can leave them scratched up and crap or clean them up and make um shiny) Confirmed
 7. More than 2 weapon models per weapon type Confirmed
 8. More weapon types (SMGs, heavy weapons (Rocket launchers, grenade launchers, heavy automatic weapons, etc)) Confirmed
 9. Huge space combat cut scene Confirmed, multiple ones
 10. Choices in your save file actually make a noticeable difference.Confirmed
 11. Enemys boarding the Normandy and having to fight them off with your Marines Could happen too early to tell
 12. Being in the middle of a large battle with your and other Marines Possibly confirmed if you replaced Marines with Squad mates

as far as I can tell…I was pretty bang on

So evidently when I transfered my saves over to my new 360 it didn’t transfer my Completed Game saves which is limited to the first 11 you’ve done.

So…I gotta go through the game and do my choices for me2. That’s what I wanted to do from the beginning so sweet.

Also the level bonuses aren’t super substantial, like more money or more upgrade points for research projects, stuff like that.

It’s working slightly different here. I’ve found places that will sell it with the Infernus (obviously designed by Tony Stark) and places that will sell it with the Terminus. I’ve ordered the Collectors edition which comes with the armour pictured below but it didn’t give it a name. But anyway I’ll have the blood dragon armour anyway. They’ll probably stop you using it at the beginning though.
