Macross Frontier

After a comment on another thread I looked to find the availability of Macross Frontier ( I bought a copy on Ebay about a year ago). It is on Bit torrent right now. You aren’t violateing a copyright becuase it can’t be sold here… so get on there and get a copy!

It is great anime… and what I like best, the Maltran ( female Zentradi) are back to being full size when they fight… then come off duty as micronians to party with the heroes!

It uses a LOT of CG animation… but it is still a cell anime. It’s pretty cool… still not as cool as Macross as far as story, but the new Veritech and Female Powere armor are great.

Also the villian’s mech are kinda a cross between Cthyulu and the Covenent Scarab from Halo.

Well I got a copy of dvd vol 1 which is the first episode. Have to say it’s a well done show. Have to get the other dvd’s. Talk about a stuck up pop star for a central character. Atleast Minmei appreciated the people around her.

I read somewhere that Sheryl Nome similar to DRYL Minmay, while Ranka Lee is similar to the original series Minmay. Kinda make sense though don’t it?

Yeah… in japan, DYRL is bigger than the macross series. Everyone saw the O series… but DYRL is just as huge, and younger people just watch that.
