Loyal to Adama or Mutiny with Gaeta - What if x was still alive?

DISCUSS: Which way do you think they would have chosen? I know ALOT has happened since when some of these people were lost but lets just say ‘as they were’ - what would they do?

I think Billy, Kat, Dee, and Barolay would side with Adama/Roslin. Billy was very loyal to Roslin, even if he didnt agree with everything she did. Kat and Dee had a lot of affection for Adama. Barolay, even tho she was bitter towards cylons, seemed to understand that working with them was the right thing as shown by her volunteering to go to the Baseship.

Duck, Pike, Caine and Fisk would obviously go with Gaeta. Duck was driven to suicide over what happened to his wife, so if he lived he would have probably been like Connor. Pike was very outspoken over his reluctance to join with Cylons. Caine and Fisk, well, cmon, if they lived any cylon would be a dead or raped cylon.

The wild cards are Cally, Matthias, Crashdown and Jammer.
Cally obviously never liked Cylons, but who knows what might of happened if Tory talked her out of suicide instead of killing her. Matthias and Crashdown were never developed enough in their loyalties for me to predict a side. And Jammer, well, I just dont know. He could choose Adama cause they could protect him incase people found out he collaborated, but he could also choose Gaetas side to try and atone for his mistakes, like Gaeta.

Matthias was the blonde female marine that we first saw come to NC with Athena.

Also a loyal Marine who started on the Pegasus but fit into the Galactica crew quite nicely.

Billy–Roslin, he was her lacky.

Cally-Muteneer, she hates cylons,a nd probably would have jumped at the chance to shoot some cylons out of an airlock

Kat- Adama, I think it also helps that she was not on NC

Pike- mutineer, he wants to be on the winning side

Matthias–I am not really sure why, but I want to say Adama. She was not on New Caperica, and this helps because she was never enslaved by the cylons

Caine–Muteneer…I don’t know how that would work, since Adama would be under her…oh frak there is no way someone would ahve not shot her by now.

Dee–Adama, would have been very bitter toward Gata

Crashdown–I’ll go with mutineer

Barolay–You have a very passionate pissed off mutenaeer or a very passionate loyalistr. She served with Anders on Caperica, and New Caperica. Finding out that Anders is a clon could be like when Adama finds out that Tigh is a cylon, or she could have acted like Cally when she found out Tyroll was a cylon

Jammer–I think he would have just stood around. He never seemed like to much of a fighter

Heh. If Dee was still alive, she would have put a stop to this before it got this far- at least from Gaeta’s point of view. I firmly believe that Dee’s death was the nail in Gaeta’s and Adama’s relationship’s coffin, and the catalyst for Gaeta being able to go through with this.

Yeah I’m really happy where they took “The Brig Rat” :slight_smile:

Anyway I really enjoyed the responses in this ‘fun to think about’ thread.
The only characters I felt like I left out were:

1 ) Kendra Shaw
and
2 ) Colonel Jurgen Belzen (Pegusus XO Caine shot)

We only saw them in Razor but considering their actions we can have it as a guess wht they’d do.

Kendra- She would back Adama and would shoot Gaeta in the head first chance she got.

Belzen- Adama + Roslin, no question.
