I loved Voyager, the best startrek series. Kathryn Janeway was bad ass lost for 7 years with one ship come on…

For Sandy IF Picard was lost in the DELTA QUADRANT with no el gray he would have been emotional too.

For Chuck, i agree with you i didn’t like KES, but i liked her noncorporeal state so she won me over.

For Audra the show was slow at first but not as slow as Deep Space Nice OMG that show took 5 seasons to get somewhere good.

For Sean WATCH THE ALL OF THE EPISODES you will love it.

Why don’t you make yourself heard over in this thread

Wow, someone who likes voyager better than the others. Who knew such a person existed. For the record though, when the Enterprise was stranded 2.7 million light years away Picard got them back within the episode. Slightly more impressive than Janeways 7 years to make 70,000 light years.

I haven’t listened to podcast #102 so I can only guess there was some discussion.

Trek is like family. I can love it and still make fun of it. You make valid points about Janeway but don’t be hatin’ on Picard to do so. Who knows how any Captain would deal with such a situation? Only Janeway’s has been chronicled. Much fun has been poked at the fact of we finally get a female captain and she gets lost. I guess the biggest issue I had with Voyager was character development.

Voyager gets treated like the ugly step child of Trek. Personally I thought there were some real gems in there.

I was under the impression that Enterprise takes way more heat than voyager.

Or at least equally as much.

I would never hate on Picard just saying you never know what any of the captains would do lost 7 years in space.

Watching them all as i got older i have no harsh feelings for any of the captains.

But there we have it. Picard et al wouldn’t get lost in space for 7 years.

Yeah, Wesley would have figured out a way to open a wormhole by blasting Chroniton particles through Geordi’s visor in no time while Picard would have relaxed as Dixon Hill on the holodeck. And then they would have all went for drinks in Ten Forward and played practical jokes on Data.

And if Sisko was stuck he’d destroy anything that remotely threatened him.

And if Kirk was stuck, he’d just start flirting.

And Archer, well he’d just leap out of there

LOL Maybe, But who took out the borg’s central nexus hub, Vice Admiral Janeway…

I think many had jumped ship at that point. Voyager took much abuse as a result. It bred so much whiny fanboy bitchin. Not cool. I must admit I participated in it as well. I was a pompous prig, until one day my future self appeared and smacked some sense into me. I recommend it, quite refreshing.

No! Not an idolater of Shatner such as yourself! Where would you even get an example of such behavior?

Exactamundo

Probably because it was seen by such a small percentage of Trek fans due to the inexplicable decision to air it only on UPN instead of syndication. So many markets didn’t even have UPN; I myself couldn’t watch it until the middle of the second season. It probably would have done better if there was some other means to view it, but that was impractical way back then. :frowning:

I love the way language develops in communities like this. “Other means” indeed.

That used to happen to me all the time but now I’m trying to avoid spoilers.

LOL! Quite the existential crisis…
