I’ll never forget when I went to see this on opening day, there was a guy in the audience who was btchng and moaning to his girlfriend before the movie started “I can’t believe you made me come see this” and the like.
When the credits rolled, he stood up and yelled “That’s it! No! There’s gotta be more!!!”
It was hilarious!
Gandalf: All you have to decide is what to do with the time that is given to you.
Finally, and acually useful comment from Gandalf.
I love the end of this movie.
Can we get in on the ground floor of your Global Domination Plans?
Hmmm…he said that in the Mines of Moria…but he had to say it twice for it to kick in!
As long as you pass the previously mentioned tests
Me, too. I think it was the perfect place to end.
I must have missed it while celebrating becoming an OG.
I love the Enya song that plays through the end credits.
In that case, we’ll let it slide…this time.
Hmm. Just like last Sat night, my posterior aches from sitting in the same position for too long! How fitting!
I sound just like her (pssshh)
See, the one thing I could never figure out is, if Sauron knew that they were bringing the ring to Mordor (as he must know), why did he send anyone out to look for them? Why not just sit there and wait for them to bring it to him? Have all his troops amassed and waiting to seize them instead of spreading his forces thin? Why are the bad guys in fiction so Vulcan stupid?
Because then the story would be much shorter?
yes, but is your leg cramping?
Also, why did he ever trust Saurumon. Dude is a total snake. He is clearly looking for power, and you know he’s gonna turn on you.
I didn’t think it was the first time I saw it but after seeing the beginning of Two Towers I decided that PJ made a good choice.
So next week, the Extended edition of The Two Tower, starting at 8PM Eastern, with the actual start time at :10 after, unless someone asks for an extention.
No excuse! I want to see some villains actually use their resources intelligently for a change! Why does the good guy always have to win, anyway?
