So it came out yesterday, arrived via NetFlix today and i just popped it in the DVD player. I will be back in approx an hour and a half and give a review. Also might pop in here and there and give a running commentary. Anyone else watchin
I want to hear about this. Didn’t know it was coming out. Lost Boys is one of my favorite vampire movies.
So ok 35 minutes in the First Vamp has bitten it…topless.
The T and A factor wayyyyy up there. I’m not complaining
Corey Feldmen for some reason sounds like Batman and is now a surfboard shaper professionally.
Oh and it kinda sucks but ill stick it out…
Oh how i wish i were a vampire. Then i could drive a stake thru my heart for having watched that movie. I didn’t expect it to be as good as the original movie but this one was bad and not evenly laughably bad just bad. Some parts you could laugh at but on the whole it was ludicrously bad. The dialogue if you could call it that…well I’ve seen better on an MTV reality show. The big at the end fight was nothing…and i mean NOTHING. There was like no peril. None of the vamps could do anything and it took place at the vamps lair.
The big bad vamp so badly wanted to be Keifer ( actually played by Keifers young much less talented half brother Angus) but utterly failed. He was not cool. Not a bad SorryBarb. He was kind of a wussy who pulled a huge plot line out of his SorryBarb at the last minute. Now mind you that plot line was never mentioned before nor after in fact it was just ONE line.
Corey Feldman does hold up as the sole Turtle Brother in the flick. He is still cheesy and for some reason sounds like the new Batman all gravely like. He does deliver some classic lines and does bust out the comic books. so that is a little plus but he is really more or less is utterly pointless.
Speaking of pointless the character of the Aunt also utterly pointless.
Even more pointless. Making the almost all the characters famous surfers…see the thing is no one Surfed in the movie. There was implication of surfing but nope not one surfing shot.
I give it 5 stakes thru the heart and a garlic press in the eye.
but it did have lots of boobs…so there is that.
Oh one more thing. The movie did rip off some great lines from much better movies.
We got a “WARRIORS…COME OUT AND PLAAYYY”
There were days when having Corey Feldman in your movie used to MEAN something…
Yeah…it would mean, “Don’t see this movie! It has Corey Feldman in it!”
Of course, “Lost Boys” is excluded from that statement. “Learning to Drive” is not.
When i was younger i loved “License to Drive”. I could not wait to gt my license so i could drive backward to the hospital.
Truth be told, I remember liking it as well…
Hello… Stand by Me… Gremlins…
I was being ‘sarcastic’, but yeah Stand by Me was a frakkin’ awesome movie, and I forgot it had a Corey in it because you don’t recognize him with the blond hair and glasses.
If it’s not my favorite movie from the 80s, it’s probably my most watched.
I know. I 'm just teasing. Now Corey Haim(SP?) on the other hand is another matter. Besides Lucas and Lost Boys was he in any other good movies? I recall some 80s flick where he was a skateboarding detective or something.
Ok, on the subject of the Coreys I have a guilty pleasure confession. Last year I was addicted to watching the reality show the Two Coreys. Haim is like watching a train wreak and Feldman’s wife is smoking hot.
I think you are thinking of Gleaming the Cube. But it wasn’t Corey Haim it was Christian Slater trying to solve the murder of his adopted Vietnamese brother.
Yes yes yes. You are absolutely correct. That is exactly the movie I’m thinking about.
It was one of my favorite flicks of the 80’s actually i think early 90’s but upon rewatching it dont hold up to well. But better than some
You forgot Goonies!
I’m ashamed of myself. How could I forget Goonies.
