and I DO think that Ben remembered Sayid back in season 2.

I kinda like the idea that Ben knew about Sayid – and the rest of the Losties – before he ever met them. Maybe, in fact, that’s why he wanted to meet them. That would definitely explain why he always seems to be one step ahead of them all the time; he grew up learning all about them.
