Lord of the Rings Movies Frak Party(s)?

It was fun a couple weeks ago doing a Henry V rewatch Frak party.

Often when I’m working I play the Lord of the Rings movie soundtracks in the background…as I’m doing right now actually…and it got me thinking. Might be fun to do a rewatch Frak party of the Lord of the Rings movies. I know they’re kinda long, so maybe just one 1/2 movie (one DVD) at a time might work. Maybe some friday night after the current BSG semi-season ends.
Anyway, just throwing the idea out there…Must be some of you that are LoTR geeks out there like me, eh?

Count me in also. As you mentioned, it is a daunting task. We will run into a similar issue as Star Wars. Which version do we choose?

I gave away my copies of the theatrical versions–all I got is extended editions

of course, there’s always netflix

Yeah, I was assuming the extended editions (I have all three too). The extended is really the way to go. Extended, ya know? ______

(Geez, am I going to have to wait until morning Germany time zone before I get an IYKWIM there?)

Well, extended is [b]usually[/b] the best, but sometimes theatrical can be lots of fun, IYKWIM… :stuck_out_tongue:

I’d be interested, and I have both versions of all three, so whichever is fine with me!

Excellent. Hopefully we can get at least nine people in the Frak party so we can have a Fellowship of Nine versus the Nine Nazgul.

I would be up for it, though it would be easier—at least for me—if you put out a date in advance.

Yeah, you know, I’d rather go with “Extended Edition” than “Final Cut” …:eek:

It could go two ways:

A. Fracking gloriously, with the word “frack” used almost as frequently as IYKWIM is on this forum, or

B. the most terrible episode anyone has ever seen since BSG1980.

I don’t think there would be any middle ground.

Yes! I think this is a great idea! Count me in! I have the theatrical versions but can get the extended through Netflix or borrow from RMHPH.
