Great book about the safety and security over liberty debate. With great hacker themes thrown in for tech flavor. My favorite chapter is the one that ends with a great few paragraphs about what it means to program computers. I love this book.
My copy had no vowels…
I’m almost completely flabbergasted by that statement. Is this a joke, or are you pointing out an actual printer error? Man, that’s the first time in a good seven years that I’ve been completely stymied…
Sorry. It only makes sense if you’ve spent some time on boingboing. (Their “moderator” removes the vowels in posts she doesn’t like.)
LOL, That’s a good one. Good book though.
Sort of a vowel movement?
Yes, the moderator makes you empty your vowels.
I picked up the book because Neil Gaiman mentioned it on his blog, and I was definitely not disappointed. As well as a good story, it definitely gave me something to think about.
