LinkedIn User Group?

Heya gang,

I’ve been on the fence on this one for a bit, but figured I’d throw it out there. I use linkedIn a ton, and I was thinking of setting up a GWC ‘group’. I don’t know if anyone out there uses it, but it would allow GWC’ers to add the “squirrel” icon (hehe) at the bottom of their profiles, and build their LinkedIn network with other GWC’ers.

I’m still a bit hesitant since this is all IRL info, and as Chuck says, “once it’s out there, it’s out there” but think I’m okay with outing my GWC affiliation :slight_smile:

I’ll only set this up if (1) the Crüe is cool with it, and (2) if it’s got the support of the community, and (3) if there’s anyone else who actually uses LinkedIn.

Thoughts, suggestions and bawdy comments welcome.

I haven’t had a LinkedIn account for a couple of years. I set one up for contact with former coworkers and once I started getting invites to groups and messages from companies wanting me to hire their contract workers, buy their software, etc…I canceled the account.

I know that LinkedIn has changed from a career oriented social network, but I can barely stand Facebook anymore so I won’t be rejoining.

I have an old skool aversion to True Names, so I won’t be on there. It’s cool if others want in, though.
