Lilyhammer

Hi! Is anybody watching “Lilyhammer”? My take of the show is that it’s the 21st century American/Norwegian response to “Northern Exposure”

The reviews have been rather mixed:

It’s even become it’s own http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/Lilyhammertrope now.

What beats me is how Steve van Zandt - yes, the guy from The Sopranos as well as the guitarist in Bruce Springsteen’s E-street band - is speaking English while everyone around him is speaking Norwegian. And the dialogue is mutually intelligible?

Huh?

PS I’m not sure if Steve van Zandt wrote the theme song or not; but if you’ve found it as haunting as I did, here’s something to check out :
