THESE TEACHERS ARE TRYING TO KILL ME!!! AAAAH!
So they started the campaign about a month ago. Over a two week span, I had 7 tests, 3 papers, and 5 quizzes. Then a two week lull with only 1 paper, 1 test, and 4 quizzes. Next week, 4 tests, 1 epic paper, and 3 quizzes.
Which is why I haven’t been on the forum of late, and probably won’t be again until spring break.
Hah. Teachers. I hate them. Oh wait…
I am forced this week to give horrible tests to my students that takes two days for 9th, 10th grade and one day for the 11th. I am not sure who hates it more the teachers or the students.
My computer screen is getting worse. Pretty stripes all over. Sad, hard to read all of your posts.
And to think that my conservatory students whine and bitch about a 3 page paper due next Friday. (Though a bunch of them ARE involved in the school opera, and those things are time consuming monstrosities.)
My ipod is missing. Last seen on Sunday while my husband and I were listening in the car. I don’t remember seeing it or using it since then. I’m so distraught and upset. Last time this happened, a year ago, it had spent a week in my washing machine. I have a bad feeling that I’m never going to see it again.
As someone who owns an iPod and would loose his head were it not firmly attached to his body, I sympathize with your plight. It’s a minor miracle that I haven’t lost mine. I won’t trouble you with suggestions as to where it might be as I couldn’t find the my nose on my face.
It’s my wife’s birthday today. I cooked for her and got her a simple but nice present but, since she’s now working (woo hoo) we’re both too tired for her to get her other present…IYKWIM. (Which is the complaint part of the above statement.) At least tonight.
Birthdays last to the weekend.

My friends sister, Who I like told me today that she has feelings for me.
Now here is the problem. I already have a girlfriend.
I’m sure she’s just feeling her hormones flaring and she just happened to get her sights on me but I really do have feelings for her.
I don’t want to break her heart by rejecting her but I’m NOT going to cheat.
That’s just not the kind of guy I am.
Part of me is going to be happy when I get out of HS and part of me is going to miss it…
I’ll be 18 next thursday BTW.

Mate, at 18 I was finding it hard enough to have 1 girlfriend let alone trying to keep 2 happy.
My advice at 41 years old: don’t do it. It can really REALLY mess with your head, I have seen it happen. If you have the values that it seems you want to hold on to then that’s all that is important to you.
The other thing is that no matter how much you try to hide an affair, women are intuitive at a level that is so far above men we can’t even imagine. They KNOW when something is up with you, and sooner or later, you will get busted. It’s just a matter of time.

I got to work an hour ago only to discover that they might be eliminating the midnight shift and me along with it! Apparently the 11 years that i’ve worked here mean nothing. Since i’m the only full time employee, everyone else is a part timer, i’ll be the first to get the boot. The upper management wants to take hourly readings to see if its worth staying open all night. Guess who gets to take those hourly readings, thats right, me. So I could effectively be eliminating my own job.
Someone please ask The One True Cylon God to take his finger off the smite button!
