But on a more positive note we are pregnant again and are due in May! So my daughter will have a baby brother.

Yeah, tried that. Went to the movies. Their air conditioning just wasn’t coping. No one’s is really. I just wish we could have a stronger cool change. After the run of 40+ days are now done we had a weak change down to 37 today

In the grand scheme of things, I guess it’s nothing to bitch about, and it could be worse – last night’s ep of BSG could have been a season-end cliffhanger like Season 2.0. BUT I’m going nuts at the prospect of having to wait a week for the next episode. One moment at a time. Baby steps. Baby steps.
I’m generally quite weary of the flashback story structure, which RDM loves so much. But this one time, I’d like the next episode to start with all the major characters sitting around, toasting each other, laughing, happy, all glad to be safe, the insurrection for behind them. Then Tigh says “That sure was close, but Gaeta and Zarek got what was coming to them. For a minute there, I thought they had us…” [cue flashback].
Shrek, hang in there. I know where you’re coming from. Apparently, that kind of loss happens more frequently than you think. It’s just not the kind of thing that people talk about much, and you don’t think about until it happens. Which certainly doesn’t minimize its ongoing impact.
We noticed on Saturday that our washing machine drain was running water all over our basement floor. The rest of the drainage seemed to be ok so we thought that we just needed to get it snaked. We called our plumber’s office (also a personal friend) and got signed up to come over today and get things fixed up. Upon my arrival home today, the plumber was just loading up his super-dooper snaking machine into his truck. I could tell by the look on his face that this was NOT going to be good news. Well, it kinda isn’t. The floor in the basement is safe. The yard, however, is toast. And its 15 degrees outside and several feet of frost to get to the broken sewer drain. Why doesn’t this craaaaaaap happen when it’s warm out?
