Life is teh suck today because (a.ka. the official B_tch & Moan thread)

Just T-shirts? Or was it cool enough for pants, too?

It was almost 80 here in DC today, although I only left the house at around 3:30 (I actually got some decent composing time for a change. Good progress was made on “Rickrolled!”). It sure felt warmer than it should have, though.

Pants! I scoff and you and your repressive ideas! I don’t listen to The Man. When I go out walking the neighborhood, my pants stay at home!!

actually, this is pretty typical–at least of the last several years. how long you living here, Mageknight?

I remember when I used to live in Irvine/Newport Beach… It was 90+ degrees everyday, 10+ month out of a year. There was about a month and a half of Fallinterpring, when it was chilly, overcast, windy and pouring down buckets and buckets of rain.

One time, around 2002, I think, I was driving in the middle of freeway, and it began hailing golf-ball sized ice-rocks for about ten minutes. Traffic came to complete stand still, as far as my eyes could see. Everyone was hiding inside their cars and looking up at the sky as if the end of the world was nigh. As if frogs were raining from the sky! It was surreal, freaky and hilarious at the same time.

LOL, DBT!

seasons are problematic here in SoCal. reading books about autumn to my kinder class, and they’re all, yeah right. it’s still frakkin’ hot!

the leaves are turning…turning brown, shriveling up and dying

What I could imagine is the bank getting suspicious if your credit card is used in New York and then three minutes later in Los Angeles.

Well, maybe I’m like Hiro Nakamura and I can teleport and stop time and stuff.

(Oh, have you seen Heroes in Germany yet?)

Huh- It’s been pretty chilly here, getting down into the 30’s the last several nights and only reaching the mid-60’s during the day. We’ve got Indian summer headed for us this weekend with a few days possibly near 80, but they say that’s the last we’ll see of it this year. I don’t mind, I like it cooler, but since I work nights, I’ve mostly been seeing the cold times.

It’s frakking going to snow here today in Sun Valley, ID, oh wait, I just looked out the window and it’s snowing now!!! So, stop your bitching about it being too hot. I’M NOT READY FOR THE WINTER! I’M NOT READY FOR THE WINTER!!!

Yes, I’d be far more upset if it were snowing here. I really, really hate the cold weather. I’m a fair-weather person in general–fall and spring are my favorite seasons. If I have to pick, though, between summer and winter, summer wins, because I hate being cold! You have my sympathies! It makes winter seem super-super long when it begins in October!

I had to confiscate my own geek card…I forgot who played the original Obi-wan. For some reason Ian Holmes kept popping into my head but i knew that was wrong…but i kept saying it…a million geeks cried out in disgust.

I just found out that a job I was really hoping for has been taken, and despite keeping in touch with the studio for the past two months, I was never contacted by the guy, who said he really liked my work and would call me shortly. :frowning:

On the other hand, just a few minutes ago the stuffy old president of the Science Center walked into my Omnimax theater to make a stuffy old announcement to the audience; and the mix CD I made to play in the theater b/t shows shuffled to “I Love Rock & Roll”.

Sorry about the job GF. I have to put the cat down on Monday. He’s old- 16- and everything is shutting down. He’s had a great life, but I sure will miss him. He spent many hours on my lap when I watched BSG or at my feet while I hung out here.

Oh, Dawn. You know I know how you feel about the cat. I miss my little dog so much and I still forget that she’s not here sometimes. I’m so sorry. I’ll be thinking of you on Monday. Hugs.

Today sucks because…Wait. I forgot. I had something to say but I can’t remember it. It had to do with something that was said on the podcast though.

Today sucks not for me and my generation (Basically 18-22 ish) but for those before and after me. For those before had crappy cartoons about feelings and those after are frakkin stupid when it comes to anything that isn’t related to ipods and computers. Boxy is 18 right. I’m including Boxy in my generation

Sorry 'bout yo puddy tat.

Man, Stroogie, I’ve lived that one so many times, it’s not even funny. Hang in there.

I think they’re almost done showing the first season over here. I did obtain the show through other means, though, shortly after it came out.

wow. So eloquent. :stuck_out_tongue:
