I will echo the crowd and encourage you to tell your family. They don’t need details, just to know. HubAZ’s good friend (and BrettAZ’s God Father) is a recovered alcoholic. He’s been sober for over 10 years now, but the early days were rough and I’m glad we could be there for him. You’ll need a support system in your “real” life.

Yeah, I should probably have a sense of humor about it. But Lord knows I’ve said some things about my childhood schooling on Facebook that may need explaining now.
Meanwhile–Boomer, you’re a brave man. I’m glad to be part of a community, albeit an online one, where someone can get this stuff out. It’s really true what everyone’s been saying: you don’t need to explain to anyone why you want to do this, and doing this with other people is the only way to make it. Always remember, especially on a day like today (Easter Sunday) that you are always unconditionally loved.

I don’t put much on FB. I’ve read that about how hiring managers are now searching FB to see what potential hires have out there to get a feel for what type of person they are.

My “best” friend just told me that he can’t be my friend anymore. Not just can’t be my friend, but text bombed me at work to tell me this and then immediately cut ties everywhere online. Why? Because he told his girlfriend that he we once dated and now she told him it was her or me. It was 6 years ago!!! Now its a problem!? I’m so confused and sad.
