(((((((aeg))))))))
I’m really sorry. We had to put one of ours down last spring and it still gets to me occasionally.
Oh wow, that’s one of the worst feelings in the world Have BIG hug, and just remember how good she was, cos all dogs are good, but your own is always the best.
Thanks everyone. We’ve had a rough year with pets.
My condolences on Molly, AEG.
Today, I had to cancel my birthday party because I’m sick. I’ve been looking forward to this for weeks. I was going to get my long hair cut during the party and donate it to Locks of Love, and I had lots of people wanting to show up and see it happen.
The past year and a half has been a frustrating period, and one of my consolations was that even though I’ve been meeting with many obstacles and failures between me and my goals, the one thing I knew I could do for sure was grow my hair out and donate it.
Now I even have to wait on that.
Big fat raspberry to whoever started the stomach flu.
Stupid Anders, flying all of our advanced medical technology into the sun
Ach. We’ve lost a few cats along the way, so I sort of know how you feel (we’re on our first dog, and judging from the differences in life, I imagine their death is different somehow.)
I was going to bitch about the three frakin’ feet of snow, and how hard that made it to walk to the bar. But that somehow seems petty now.
Oh man. That frakking sucks. Get better soon, Stroogie, and have your party!
Boys are stupid GARRRGHGGHHHHHHHH!
Not all but you are learning.
I have spent about 8-10 hours over the past week reviewing an interactive CPR Instructor training CD. After completing each module, it was supposed to place a check mark by my name, so I could print out the completion certificate to turn in tomorrow. Well, dummy me did not check to make sure it was working right. I went through EVERY module, and completed the entire training, only to discover the check marks were not there. WTF? After exiting and restarting on our other computer (instead of my crappy laptop) it WORKS. So now I have to go back and complete the entire thing today. And the best part is, it’s interactive- meaning I have to pay attention, and answer strategically placed questions. I can’t just turn it on auto pilot and let it run.

And now for my B&M: my dog Molly died a couple of weeks ago. We’ve had her since the summer before I started kindergarten.
So sorry about your dog. We have a 13 year old mutt who is nearing the same fate. It is so heartbreaking to see a dog that was once vibrant and full of life so sad and old.
I have a job interview on Tuesday in Indiana. Thanks to the snowfall over the weekend, though, I’m not uncertain as to whether or not my flight will leave tomorrow. hrmph!
they all are! Harrumph!
Very sorry about Molly, AEG. They really do become part of the family don’t they?
AEG I am sorry for your loss of Molly.
some (sorrybarb)hole got my debt card number…luckily the bank caught it and stopped it before they spent too much and I shut the card down and will get another one…
…still, just the fact it happened just frakked up my evening…GAH
I found out today my friends husband has been hitting her. I found out when the hospital called me as emergency contact. The bastard dislocated her jaw and fractured part of her face.
I’m angry.
I’m the sort of angry that goes past blind rage, goes past the red mist, it becomes bullet-time rage. I don’t know what I’m going to do to him, but I know he’s not going to like it.
Don’t do anything rash. Just be there for your friend, ok? If she won’t leave him, you can’t force the issue (unfortunately). Support her and talk to her about her options. And go to the gym and take it out on the punching bag. Using him for a punching bag will only get you in trouble!
That said, I’d opt for applying a layer of duct tape over his entire body and then ripping it off. And then applying Bactine antibiotic spray to the subsequent injuries so that it burns. And then sock him in the balls where it won’t hurt anything important…
I’m in Indiana for a job interview. It went very well. Now I will miss my oldest’s 8th birthday thanks to the stupid snow storm and Chicago and DC airports closing…AND I’ve got a 45 minute estimated wait time (which will mean more like 60 minutes) with the airline to try and get myself out of here.
ARRRGH!
