Life is teh suck today because (a.ka. the official B_tch & Moan thread)

Sorry for your loss. I also went to my cousin’s grandmother’s funeral yesterday. I didn’t know her very well at all, and only went out of sense of duty to my cousin’s family. I found that I was moved by the service, because of how many people turned out and how much she was missed by everyone. It seems that she has touched a lot of people’s lives in her time. By any measure, it appears she has led a fantastically fulfilling life, before succumbing to a late stage cancer that went undiagnosed until way too late.

I can only hope that by the end of my life, I am loved by half as many people as she was. RIP.

I am so sorry to hear of your loss. I know what it feels like to lose someone dear to your heart.

Stacey sounds like she touched you and her family and that is all we can leave behind. I know we can only support you from afar but we are here for you. sending hug

I’m so glad you shared this with us Keara. It’s good to have a safe place to let things out. I love when we can have silly fun around here, but we all know it’s not all silly fun all the time.

BIG hug- coming your way.

Not to veer away from the Keara loving (which is awesome)…

my sink! is clogged! and it won’t! come unclogged!

I’m royally… um… angry about this. Considering I do all the right maintenance… grrr what went wrong?

And I had to call maintenance… I hate having to call them.

Nothing but the Rain. My heart goes out to her, you and her family.

Im stealing that, and quoting it for my Oratory

Another 5 o’clock wake up for school work
Frak me

Wow, guys…thank you so much for the kind thoughts and words. I’ve known for a while my friend was going to die soon but it really hit me hard when it finally happened. Armando, you are right…the age we live in is so unique in that we can make real connections with people, real friendships, without ever meeting them. Her passing has made me really think hard about my own life. Actually a couple things have done that recently. I’m learning to be more positive (or at least to try) and to live much more in the moment (again, I’m trying).

Thank you to all of you who responded to my post. I just really needed to get it off my chest and I didn’t know where to post it. I appreciate the support. Coming back after a few days and seeing that really touched me.

I want a royalty check.

Just don’t let Boxy argue you down to a lower up-front charge with a good rate on residuals. They might think their words will live in infamy, those CFL-loving orators, but footage of HS debate tourneys don’t do as well in syndication as you might think.

You’ve certainly accomplished that here.

Update: sink fixed. gunk under sink (pipe broke, too, ugh) cleaned up. bleach applied. nasty smell gone.

I am taking a on line class. They changed the address to the site. I somehow did not get the email to tell me of the change. Three days lost.

My computer at work died.

I frakkin’ well know better, but I was working on a file saved to the desktop – as opposed to the archiving network server where I normally save my files. And this week’s crazy-busy, so I rushed out of work Monday without e-mailing myself a backup copy of the file. So much of Monday’s work is gone, and I lost most of today. Should be almost done by now; instead, I’ve almost begun.

Was gonna try to work thru late tonite, but I’m just punch-drunk at this point.

grrrrrrrrrr… what’s the smiley icon code for “argh frak kill”?

I must get off the fun and go on my computer for work.

How about this emoticon?

…musicians:rolleyes:

That, my Galactic(a) sister, is what I’m saying. Thanks for summing it up so neatly.

I lol’d:)
…im not much of an orator:o

LOL. I have sooo BTDT and I sucks, especially trying not to gag while getting rid of the nasty, lingering smell. Glad it’s all taken care of now.
