Are we sure that the kid named Gaius is actually Baltar’s chld? Did they actually say that?

It seemed to be implied by the kid’s mom - she seemed kind of weirded out by Baltar being all hey there to her, and then made very clear that Gaius was named for his father.
And maybe Gaius was a popular name. But I doubt it.

a whore. and kinda stupid, he really didnt get that the mom was hinting at that. altho im really not convinced… i mean. they would seriously need to explain that - he didn’t seem to know that woman. and i havent started to think about what that would mean. - we really haven’t seen any human-human children in this show. …except boxey.
I dont think the kid was Baltars.
He seemed into the idea of the Kid being named after him when he found out his name was Gaius, but after the father thing, his turn around seemed more as a blow to his ego than a revelation of father hood.

I do not think that the child was Baltar’s. I merely got the impression that it was a fanatic naming her kid in his honor…
