Kara = Christ?

Alright… obviously she was dead and resurrected. Since Ellen was the 5th Cylon, there ran out of room for Kara to be a Cylon, if not making, then at least linking her to the one true god of the Cylons…

This probably will reveal how the final 5 were able to reborn in the colonies.

But anyway… my conclusion after the premiere of 4.5 is… WHAT???

That would be funny, it would go around the line :

You know you’re in trouble as a race when Starbuck is your god.

But maybe the prophecy about bringing them to their doom already took place on earth 2000 years ago or is happening right now because everyone is going down with a major case of depression and anger.

Yeah I couldn’t place Kara on the big picture yet. She is not one of the 12 but still not a regular human. What the hell, for a second while watching the episode I thought that everyone on the show was a Cylon, there was no such thing as humans anymore…

Or simply the humans were created by cylons. Even if originally it was the other way around.

I have trouble with the new final 5. On a planet of billions citizen only 5 do the resurrect thing. And they don’t look like important people in the past. Why them, why not the president, scientists or other people. In my opinion they are not the final five but probably the final like twenty thousand. It would make more sense and work Starbuck in the equation.

But with the reaction from Leoben he was REALLY scared of Starbuck and they don’t scare easy. Maybe she’s their god or their bringer of doom.

Well, confident now that I have scored several goals in the prediction stakes, I reiterate my earlier theory.

[li]Kara Thrace died. [100%]
[/li][li]The Kara who came back had the original’s thoughts, memories and personality. [100%]
[/li][li]Kara was recreated/resurrected/whatever using Cylon technology. [90%]
[/li][li]Kara is not a Cylon per se, and not the Final Cylon [95%]
[/li][/ul]

As for your other point about “everyone_ on the show was a Cylon”… For a long time I have argued that the difference between humans and Cylons is essentially insignificant; they are close enough to genetically the same species, can interbreed. As I’ve said: the duck test.

Or maybe Leoben is just a fruit cake.

Seriously, I know he’s attractive and sexy (especially in Californication) and all, but the guy’s got more than a few kangaroos loose in the top paddock.

Every time he’s opened his mouth since the mini-series drivel has oozed out. He’s the rambling, misguided, ‘new age’ mystic of the Cylon fleet. It’s a wonder the other models haven’t spaced his entire line by now.

Okay so let’s check off the list courtesy of Thomas C. Foster:

  1. in agony
  2. self-sacraficing
  3. good with kids
  4. known to have spent time alone in the wilderness (or space as the case may be)
  5. forgiving
  6. ressurected

I think this may be a viable possiblity.

OK Nostradamus, one more question: is that ship and body she found there for 2000 years or a few months, since she disappeared in maelstrom?

And what about that talk that Earth was cute, blue green etc?

I will be amazed if the beacon went on for 2,000 years. Besides, for 2,000 years, the wreck is too close to the surface. It should be buried, with Kara’s body a bit less in tact.

So judging by above reasons, i think Kara didn’t travel back in time when she went in the Maelstrom.

yeah 2000 ago there would be no body. I would feel cheapen if they made a time travel.

Everybody is a cylon would be bad for Dee.

Waking up in a pile of Goo, no escape from life for her.

But with that theory maybe everyone who died in the 12 colonies are all stuck in one resurrection ship working 24/24 7/7.

As for the new Kara, the clone theory would be good since the cylon(no more ZZZZZZ :frowning: ) had already everything they needed to make more Starbucks. But is there wisdom in that ? I think not. 1 Starbuck = great pilot but moving disaster imagine many. But they could have a great fleet (if the fleet doesn’t destroy itself).

Kara could be a sleeper agent just like Boomer was but for a 3rd undisclosed party. Leoben wouldn’t have been freaked out if she was made by their group of cylons.

Agreed.

[li]The Kara who came back had the original’s thoughts, memories and personality. [100%] [/li]

Agreed.

[li]Kara was recreated/resurrected/whatever using Cylon technology. [90%] [/li]

I have to ask what you mean my ‘Cylon’ technology? I don’t think we can necessarily say that she was resurrected by the Original 7 Cylons and used their technology. Leoben appeared really confused by seeing her dead body on Erf, so I don’t think he was behind her return. She may have been resurrected by something originating from FF Cylon side, but as we as yet have no idea what their technological level is I think its a stretch to argue that she was resurrected within the technological confines we’ve already seen defined in the show. If the FF do have the ability to some how transport her and her viper from some storm on a distant planet to Erf, then resurrect her and rebuild her viper and send her back to the nebula, that would seem to be a miraculous technological feat compared to what we’ve seen the Colonials and Original 7 cylons accomplish thus far.

Then again maybe we’ll run into a large new FF base star and resurrection ship manned solely by Ellen.

[li]Kara is not a Cylon per se, and not the Final Cylon [95%]

Agreed…

Kara = model #7?

Why not?

As for the cloned Kara theory, I also think it’s not where the show is going. Yes, they had her ovary taken out, but it would have been with the 7 models. And Leoben would have known about it so he wouldn’t be as freaked out.

Even if Starbuck Ovary was used by a third party, Leoben probably would know it went missing.

Remember, Kara Thrace died for our sins.

if Pythia’s prophecy has to be true…

so this is not earth and Lee is the dying leader?

I bet they are never going to answer exactly what Starbuck is in relation to everything. But even if Starbuck or a version of her crashed on Earth, then what was the explosion in the maelstrom?

This is all very confusing.

Well and I wonder how her hair can be so blonde and similar to how she is wearing it when a) it was really really short when she went into the Maelstorm and b) I don’t know much about preservation after death but I have to wonder at its condition compared to the rest of the corpse.

I thought the same thing. Why would her hair be in tact when her ship exploded? You’d think it would be gone completely.

Right! Though it does make it easier dramatically to establish the link between current day Kara and dead body Kara. I wonder if that will ever be resolved, or if it’s something we just have to go along with.

Well it seems that her finding the dogtag and her wedding ring would have been enough evidence that it was her body. My first thought upon seeing that was - interesting that she didn’t notice that her dogtag and wedding ring weren’t on her when she got back from “erf”.

I doubt it’ll be addressed. It kind of bothers me though because it just seems lazy on the part of the set people - like they just threw a cheap blond wig onto the corpse because the wanted it to be really clear to us that it was her.
