I will now continue the history of Kamen Rider, by bringing you the first of the “Hesei” (New Century) Riders, Kuuga. This is where Kamen Rider really began to break out of the old ways that made the old shows barely distinguishable from Sentai.
Godai Yuuske is an ordinary young man, with a fairly devil-may-care attitude towards the world. One day, fate lands him with an ancient belt, taken from the perfectly mummified corpse of an old man, dead for thousands of years.
Little by little, and with secret cooperation from two police detectives, Godai learns to harness the power of the belt, and fight the bizarre creatures known as the Grongi, who suddenly appear in Tokyo after the belt’s discovery…but at the same time, he must take care to not let the belt’s dark side overtake his soul.
