Julie Benz was on Craig Ferguson’s Late, Late Show last week.
I was showing my husband the YouTube vid, when I noticed this:
Kind of gives “Sylar” a run for his money, huh?

The woman can sure act. probably better than most Star Trek Movies requires,
but she doing ”Dexter” right Now (Which is just awesome by the by) not sure she’s available, but if she were cast I would be more likely to see it…
that’s a fib, it would take a great deal of convincing for me to Pay to see another Star trek movie, I’m not bashing its just not for me, See to me its cool sci/fi minus the sex and violence, and that’s two out of four food groups.
I know I’m generalizing here and there was some good shows, I enjoyed some of DS9 and even enterprise cause the characters seemed more connected to real people and not just idealized future people
Not trying to put Down Star Trek it just missed its mark for me.
yep, I skipped a lot of the next gen stuff. I was in my party phase and just never caught up. A lot of post original series passed me right by. I never saw DS9, and only a couple eps of Voyager.
When I’m done with my Firefly re-watch, I’m trying Bab5 for the first time. I’ve heard so much good about it, I’m giving it a go in this tv wasteland. Yeah, I’m DVR-ing SCC and Breaking Bad, but I sure miss Journeyman.
Galactica! We need you!
In my oh so humble opinion, DS9 was the best of any Star Trek series to date - including the original. DS9 had multi-episode story arcs and actually attempted to tell a bigger story where the Federation wasn’t always right.
I’m a Star Wars kid myself - never really felt a huge pull toward the Star Trek universe. The reasons I’m excited about the new Trek movie is not the fact that it’s Trek, but who is in it…
Zach Quinto - Heroes’ Sylar of course
Simon Pegg - Shaun of the Dead fame, also Hot Fuzz
Howard Cho - Harold & Kumar… he’s actually a very capable actor.
and JJ Abrams at the helm…
I’m intrigued and am willing to put down my matinée money.
I’ll watch Pegg in anything. I’m a fan of Cho, and the rest, of course.
SW came after I’d already been infected by Trek, but has no less room in my geek heart.
Do you have to know all the Trek 'verse in order to enjoy DS9? I might check that out, too.
Outside of the basic concepts (Federation, Prime Directive, etc.) you’ll be fine. It’s the most stand-alone show of all the Trek series and requires just a cursory knowledge.
I’m SO seconding this! Just think of episodes like “In the Pale Moonlight” !!!
DS9 even pulled off a good wedding episode! Check out “You Are Cordially Invited” if you ever get a chance. Klingon bachelor party, firedancers, and lots of red leather.
