Are there any GWC forum members/friends from Japan from the tsunami-affected areas that haven’t checked in? Also, does anyone here know how to query the locations of registered members?
Even if they are infrequent posters/readers, it would be a positive thing to get a PM notification/email.
There’s no easy way to do that, AFAIK. The GWC Chapters thread doesn’t list any Japanese GWCers, but it’s necessarily incomplete. There’s also my GWC Locator Map, which is even more incomplete.
Advanced search of Member list for location shows Beachbum23 as being located in Yokosuka, Japan (southwest of Tokyo). He’s stationed there in the U.S. Navy.
There could be others that don’t have information in their About Me.
And now CNN online reports that instruments on the USS George Washington detected low levels of radiations. The aircraft carrier is docked in Yokosuka for maintenance.
