hmmm. If I have time to participate this time…
I’ve read Golden Compass and I’ve been wanting to read something by China for awhile… (and I’ve heard some stuff from him before that’s good)
Bumpity-bumping… have an opinion! Both books are very different, but also, both very good
China has a Hugo. 'Nuff said.
I’m hoping this one is less dense than his early works (which I still enjoyed). Mieville!
Ok, I’m calling this the “GWC Book Club Effect”. I was in SF all week for business, so I went by both the Borders down by my hotel. A couple of China’s books were at each location, but The City and the City was sold out at both of them.
It’s the GWC Book Club Effect and I’m sticking with it.
