It's the friendships. So say we all..

That is when this show was born. That is six years ago. Six long years this show has captured the hearts of sci fi fans and non-sci fi fans.

It’s had it’s ups and downs. A sci fi show by it’s very nature get a knee jerk reaction from most people. However it was able to work past that. It found it’s self a fanbase that I feel are some of the best people around.

It was a joke to many. A remake? Of Battlestar? That cheesy old show?

However as people soon found out it was much more.

From the genocide of the human race to the question we have all asked ourselfs…What does it mean to be human?

It is a show that has forced us to come face to face with our darkest demons.

It has brought people together, Be them high school kids, One the quiet guy who likes to pull pranks and skip class or the girl who all the teachers like.

Or the artist the writer and the teacher?

It was a show that took modern day issues and spun them in a way that will last forever.

As battlestar ends I ask myself “What should I take away from it”

I am taking away the friendships.
The friends I have made on the short time on this fourm have been some I will remeber for a long time… As will the ones I have made in real life…
I find myself listening to people talk about what it was like watching Star Trek when they were kids…Now Battlestar is my Star Terk…

I was 12 when this show started and I am now 18. Both my grandfathers were alive and now both are gone…I met my girlfriend becasue of this show…

I have grown up with this show and it’s fans… I have with stood the year long waits and I have enjoyed it’s returns…
It’s a friend to me. I’m sad it’s leaving…

So here’s to those who have worked on this show. Cast and Crew.

Thank you for everything. It’s been one hell of a fraking ride. I will never forget tomorrow night…

Thanks OT. It’s not the best post in the world but it’s how I feel.

You guys rock.

Very well said, Cody.
It is pretty amazing isn’t it?

BSG inspired -----> GWC -----> which in turn created----->an awesome community, replete with friendships that I consider as real as any real-world friendship could be.

OT, in this day and age when financial executives are not the most respected folks in society, do you really think we should nickname Cody as CFO? ;)

It really is…
I hope I get the chance to meet Chuck, Sean and Audra some day. Or any of the other GWC members.

I said before…This show is something that comes every once in a great while.

Yes, yes I do.

Exactly! I was 13 watching Star Trek and it became a part of me.
You’ll look back on BSG like us more…old… geeksters look back on the original Trek (or it’s later variants perhaps, if your not so …old.)

Sigh. That what I call the next generation.

Yeah, me too.

Oh what the hell…

I’m feeling very fa-klempt right now…I’ll giev oyu a topic…the new deal was neither new or a Deal…discuss

Seriously y’all - good to know each and every one of ya…BSG bringin folks together…

Deep Space Nine was my high school sci-fi love. But I didn’t have a whole crew of fine folks to share it with. I’m glad you had this experience, Cody, and that we were a part of it. This has been a fun time for me too, and now in less than 24 hours, I will be in Frisco with a swarm of my GWC buddies getting ready to watch the finale! The geek table at the high school cafeteria was never this much fun!

So Say We All!

So, we all say. pokes mud with cane
