My iPod shuffle (the one with no screen), fourth generation, keeps cutting the last few seconds off each podcast. I want to make sure I catch the little bits like BKitty singing that get put on the end!
So, any idea how to make it play the whole thing?!?!?!!?!?
I’ve had that happen from time to time on my iPod and iTunes. Are you sure it’s not the file itself?
By default the iPod/Phone/etc have an ‘overlap’ function, so that music fades into the next song. I disabled this a while ago and don’t have mine handy, but the functionality is in iTunes somewhere, probably when you’re connected.
There is a crossfade option in iTunes, but not for the iPod. It is off anyways.
I know the files are good since I can play them in iTunes.
Have you tried selecting all songs, get info, and unchecking “Part of a Gapless Album?” That’s worked for some people.
Another possibility is if they’re VBR (variable bitrate recording) in which case they need to be reencoded.
