Invite to Lancaster, PA for Doctor Who Finale

Hey, everyone! I’m having a small get-together on Friday evening to watch the Doctor Who finale. (Even though most of the people in the room have seen it in “other ways.”) I have a big LCD TV which is sweet for watching Doctor Who, BSG, Star Wars, etc. If I’m not enough to entice you and the TV doesn’t do it for you, then perhaps this will: RonMooreHasPrettyHair will be here!

A couple things you should know:
–I’ll provide some snacks and non-alcoholic drinks.
–Feel free to bring a snack to share.
–BYOB but no over-doing it since there will young’uns there, k?
–I have 3 smelly dogs just in case you are allergic to dogs.

I’d be enticed, theoretically, by that.

I’m afraid to ask WYM. A lot of different things could be inferred.

Is that supposed to be a selling point?

Correction: Two dogs and a little wrinkly creature that makes barking noises.

Theoretically?

Such as? :stuck_out_tongue:

As long as the end of the week doesn’t get too crazy, I think I am going to make the trek out there. I always like to meet other GWC’ers in person.

I have seen the finale, but it was a great episode, so I am always up for watching it again, and on a big screen. Mmmm Captain Jack and Ianto on a big screen.

In fact I will be watching it and the one before it again later next week with a couple of local friends (they are away this week), mainly because I want to see there reactions.

Of course!

True.

I’m just sayin’ is all.

Yay! Check your email. I sent you more info.

Lancaster is a bit outside my ‘area of effect’.

However, I will try and attend metaphysically. I take up less room that way.

Wow, when Keara suggested this, I honestly didn’t expect that anyone would come to our Amish wasteland. Now we might actually be a part of the GWC collective. I feel like we’re about to be assimilated by the Borg.

But, you know, in the good way.

I’ve seen it already as well, although Keara and her kids haven’t yet. Good old Skiffy’s preview already spoiled them on several aspects of the episode, of course.

If only you had a blink dog. :stuck_out_tongue:

Be careful on the astral plane. Remember to wear a sweater.

The Borg haven’t been the same since they hit Endor…

Received and looked at the route - not bad only about 1 hr 40 min (I work/live right near the Philadelphia Turnpike exit.

I love Amish country, I would love to live out that way (or at least further away from the city.

And yes it is kinda like the borg :stuck_out_tongue: Heck I met Chuck and Sean on Saturday, now I get to meet other GWC’ers the next weekend.

I haven’t finished rewatching the Skiffy version yet of “Stolen Earth”, but will need to before Friday just to refresh my memory. I would’ve waited had my friend in England not freaked out after “Stolen Earth” and wanted to talk, so I “had” to watch it early. Once I saw that episode, there was no waiting for “Journey’s End” to be shown.

Please nobody tell me that New Jersey is only a stone’s throw away from PA…

That it is, my friend. So, will you be here?

Though I would absolutely love to meet all o’ youns, as we Eastern Ohio/Western PA folk say, I think 730 miles round trip is just not in the cards this weekend. However, since I have a sister in Philly who I do visit on occasion, we may have to plan a meet-up at a later date. (Unfortunately, our other sister was supposed to be driving down there this weekend, but postponed it to next weekend, or I could have carpooled with her and her friend…)

I did love the finale, though… David Tennant rocks my socks.

If you think Cylonz are good at reforesting, you should see the toasters raise a barn.

Does this equal punch and paaah?

Indeed it does. :stuck_out_tongue:

I suppose that’s all a matter of perspective…

Try not to compare us to them. :stuck_out_tongue:

I’ve been “other meansing” the eps since the beginning. I still watch them on TV when they air a few weeks later, but I always like to see the “real” version first, as I’ve noticed the Skiffy edits them somewhat, mostly for time, but sometimes for content. Judging from their programming choices past, present, and future, I tend not to give them quite that much leeway…

It might even be spitting distance, definitely no more than a pertineer.

Didn’t you mention bratwurst? Wouldn’t that be a further enticement?

Galaxy Ranger is coming all the way from Germany, and you’re not coming from Ohio? That hurts. :frowning:

…IYKWIM?

Haven’t seen that, but I have seen them raze a barn.

Free Hat!

Really? Oh, then I’m definitely in.

New Jersey is our dirty spooning buddy.

Well if Keara or RMHPH stop in, I am leaving work - have to run and get gas and a something small for dinner then I am heading your way.

See you in about and hour and a half to two hours.
