Ink

Not sure if this has ever been mentioned here before, but I watched this movie, “Ink”, the other day. It’s very good! And it’s even available on Netflix Watch Now. I encourage everybody to check it out!

“Late one night, a lost soul named Ink snatches 8-year-old Emma (Quinn Hunchar) into the world of dreams. There, he hopes to use her soul to join the ranks of the evil Incubi. In the real world, Emma lies comatose, to the despair of her father, John (Chris Kelly). But the Incubi’s benevolent opposites – the Storytellers – rally to help Emma, motivating John to wage war for his daughter. Jessica Duffy co-stars in this dark fable.”

I could not agree more. Actually, maybe I can. I adore this movie. This is the wonderful kind of film that Hollywood just won’t make these days. This is a gem and I cannot recommend it more highly. I rented it via Netflix. After watching it, I got online and ordered a Blue-Ray copy from their website (part of a kit that comes with a t-shirt and poster) and I also ordered a normal DVD copy from Amazon so that I could keep that one permanently loaned out.

If you like fables, fairy-tales, Neil Gaiman, World of Darkness-type rpgs or the like, then you will enjoy this movie.

On a side note, I fell in love with Jessica Duffy’s Liev.

(Oh, and last I checked, it was available on Hulu so you can watch it for free. Then you’ll buy it cause you’ll want your own copy.)

I got through 5-10 minutes of it before I got distracted with something. Meant to pick it up again, but haven’t…yet…

A side effect of your OCD?

More like ADD. The first 10-15 minutes didn’t hold my interest. ):

Just finished watching this on Hulu. Wow, what an amazing film. The first 15 minutes are hard to follow. Seems like a movie people either love or hate. Don’t want to talk to much about specifics in the movie since half of the fun in this movie is discovering things as they happen. This one is going to stick with me for a while.
