I like the movie
it was funny, corney tongue in cheek;filled with action good effects and as an aside dina meyers is smoking hot; well to me anyhow. and if you disagree you cannot type a post in disagrement if you disable the hand. 
just kidding.
That said I have never read the book so maybe thats the difference. i mean if someone made a movie called buffy the vampire slayer and gave me twilight well i might be a little put off. but regradless of source material if it was good; than it was good period right? and I really don’t see where all the hate comes from. its just fun alien bug hunt romp with micheal fricken ironsides and did i mention the hotness of dina meyers, dizzy was just an awesome kick ass character.
I can not agree more. Was it a great film?..no. Was it God awful? not at all. What it was was a “Awww S#$% we be in a world of hurt” “Lock and load” kinda film. Oh and on Dina Meyers, can I please wake up next to her Puleeasee!!!
Was never a big fan of Charile Sheen’s ex anyway. Any thing I mean anything with Dina i’m there (Birds of a Feather, ST Nemesis, Ep of NCIS) I’ll be in my bunk now.
I’ve seen Starship Troopers many, many times. It was one of my favorite SciFi flicks for years. Loved it. Loved the aggressive edge (due to the political philosophy). Just a really fun film. I read the book as a kid, but loved the movie so much more. I think I’m going to have to watch again (I own it) after this post.
I find that everytime I watch Starship Troopers I see something new. It evolves in front of me into new and fascinating series of questions. And I love seeing how others respond to the movie (and this community has been awesome). Maybe we should set up a frak party? Bear in mind I have never done one before and I don’t know how to set one up or what to do. Anyone interested?
