I called last night. Such an odd thing to say.

After my daughters called in I felt a little weird given the video context and what “fairy princess time” actually is. But like most things I forgot about it 20 minutes later. Comes back every now and again to nag me. My mind desperately tries to make me responsible but I simply won’t have it.
Remember the girl’s (Veronica?) admonishments at the very end? Fairy Princess Time is not for bad touching. It is a very innocent celebration of wings and pixie dust.
That’s why I hate it.
I must be Bizzaro-World-FrakkinTalos, because I came THIS close to having my daughters call in. But decided against it. My wife tends to roll her eyes of late when I mention GWC, so if she discovered the context of “fairy princess time” things would not go well for me.

When I called in I had “A Man’s Gotta Do What A Man’s Gotta Do” (from Dr. Horrible) playing in the background. And when I finished saying “I love fairy princess time” I moved the phone right up to the music speaker (but I think that part got cut off). If you listen real closely you can still hear a bit of the song

That is just too awesome. I don’t know what’s awesomer, that Pike made such a simple yet elegant reference to the current arc, or that TFG actually noticed it. It’s just awesome all around.
