I guess Shepard from Mass Effect is a man in canon?

I jsut downloaded the “Story So Far” trailer from XBOX live and was doubley pissed.

There is a new trailer narrated by Marten Sheen. It is exactly as the title suggests. I was pissed that they even showed Shepard … as to denote as a matter of fact what he looks like. I always like the false thought that shepard was as a matter of canon… left ambiguous. But also I was pissed that he didn’t look like Remo Williams with a scar ( the “real” Shepard that is on my Xbox  ).

bad move Mass Effect people suits, bad move!

Yeah and his name is John and did everything I did in my game.

Yep.

No, his name is Chuck and he always has Miranda and Kal’Reegar following him around (at least I hope he will in ME 3)

All I want from ME3 is: Kal’Reegar, Aria T’loak, and Captain Kirrahe as squad mates.

Maybe Edi as a robot

Interesting article in relation to this thread.

Kal’Reegar will definetely be on my Sci Fi Fantasy Team when they do it again.

Kal’Reegar, Jayne, Casey, and Col. Dave Dixon (or Major Mitchell) sounds like a good team to me, though fitting them all into whatever roles might be tough :stuck_out_tongue:

Indeed, would be a very succesful team.

I read this article the other day and I have to say I feel much the same way. I play female Shepard because of Jennifer Hale’s voice acting and because she’s not your typical woman especially seeing as how women tend to get portrayed in video games. I really can only barely tolerate maleShep’d voice acting and since my favorite romance option is open to femShep I stick with her almost exclusively, maybe if they’d hired a better voice actor for maleShep I might have been inclined to play him more but my inner KOTOR fan just loves to listen to Jennifer Hale deliver the lines, her and Ali Hillis did such a fantastic job on the Lair of the Shadow Broker DLC that.

However I think that maleShep gets all the press because they actually used a real model for the default Shepard and since they paid for his likeness they might as well use it. They didn’t do the same for a femShep and since most people play with the default Shepard I doubt they really see a reason to but I wish they would branch out a bit and show some variants of Shep like they are doing with Hawke in Dragon Age 2.
