Houston: Tron Legacy in D-Box 3D

December 18th: I’m taking my son to see Tron Legacy at the Santikos Silverado (located on the Northwest Side near Tomball). What makes this theater special is that it is the only one enabled for D-Box motion code, which makes the seats move along with the action on-screen. I watched Inception this way and it ROCKED!!! Pluts this film will be in 3D also which makes this expirience even more engaging.

So I thought this would be an excellent meetup opportunity just before Christmas and get to do something really unique. Bear in mind that there are a limited amount of D-Box seats and they ARE quite pricy (about $18 a seat). But there are also non-D-Box seats available for that screening as well.

What do you think?

We have a theater out by where I live that has D-Box and it is ossim. Personally I’d rather spend the extra cash on this than 3-D. I didn’t know Tron: Legacy was going to be D-Box so that is some sweet news. The Harry Potter movie will also be D-Box I hear.

It is and we’re doing that one too. Can’t afford it every time, but these are special occasions.

What time is the show? We go to that theater all the time, but have never done the D-Box seats.

They haven’t started selling tickets yet, but I was thinking about a 5 or 7:00 showing. But that can be adjusted.

Okay, let me know when the show times are posted. We can’t wait to see this movie! My boys are 7 and 9, so they and hubby will be coming as well.

Movietickets.com is starting selling tix for the 7:20 showing, which will be fine for me if others are interested. Remember, D-Box tickets are 18.50 and there are about 60 seats set up for the screen. If this will work for everybody, I’ll go ahead and get tix for me and my boy. If not, other showings should be available in a week or two.

Tickets are readily available now. Who is still interested? We can be flexible on the time.

Aaauuugh! We have a work holiday party the night of the 18th, so that day is out for us. Sorry about that. This time of the year is so crazy.

Anyone else interested?
