Hot dogs vs. nachos?

The only way I can enjoy a hot dog is if Oscar Meyer already injected it with cheese so I can then add no-bean chili, onions, and more cheese to it and make a hideous mess wolfling it down.

Nachos have so many delicious possibilities but also generally end up soggy and mushy.

I still voted Nacho.

I honestly can’t decide. Baltar option needed.

I love nachos. I usually am boring and just have cheese on them, maybe with scallions and sour cream. But I’m simple when it comes to nachos. Crunchy chips and salty cheese. yum!

I’m not really a fan of hot dogs. The only ones I like are the all-beef ones, and even then I have to be in the right mood to eat it. I also only ever put ketchup or bbq sauce on it. Again, boring. And nachos are better. :stuck_out_tongue:

I used to really like a good kosher dog with nachos and a root beer.

well I can not choose one or the other since one is an App hmmm nachos with a cold beer. Then a hot dog everything on it !
so why choose when you can have both!

Hot dog with everything! Plus, they won’t mutiny on your sorryBarb! Unlike Narcho.

Hot dog because it takes less ingredients to make a truly superb dog.

Which is funny because I just realized I voted “nachos” when it first came out.

Guess the difference is that tonight I’m making dinner and back then I was probably running out to grab something.

Agreed.
However in a one-on-one I go with Nachos. But if it was corndog v nacho, i would go for corndog.

I voted Hot Dog, because generally they always taste good, whereas so often with Nachos in cheap venues, the chips are stale. (Yes, I’m bitter.) But as with so many things in life location is everything. WHERE you eat the hot dog makes all the difference.

I’m proud to say I’ve had both a Fenway Frank and Super nachos at Fenway and both were a religious experience. Nachos at Pop Warner football games are less so. Best Nachos ever? I will date myself- the counter at Woolworth’s when I was in high school. It was like stepping into a time warp walking into that place. Thick chips, sauce piled on, peppers optional.

At the Hoop, the grungy campus cafe in the basement. No, not the tastiest most scrumptious nachos ever, but definitely the most satisfying.

LOL…yup that’s close to what we say around here…lips and assholes…which is why I don’t eat them!

Naaacccchhhhooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo

Well, to me, nacho’s are a diversion. Hot dogs are a meal.
And, you can eat’em with one hand, so hot dog wins.
(unless we’re talking bar food, then gimme nachos w/my pints)
But I’m a sucker for most anything you can put on a grill.
A grilled natural casing dog in the backyard with friends… Mmmmm.

Someday I’ll make it to the Annual Hot Dog Safari in Boston.
(All the hot dogs, sausages and ice cream sundaes you can eat, featuring a large variety of hot dog vendors, and all benefits go to Cystic Fibrosis and The Joey Fund. It’s a win-win!)

…And all beef is fine, but what do people have against pork these days?
(I mean, the meatloaf I make is 1/3 pork, 2/3 beef)
Just askin…

Oh i love me some pork. I make my meat balls with a pork beef mixture. But with hot dogs the beef ones just taste better. I belive in the Kosher seal of approval on my hot dogs.

woolworth wow I used to love that place with the counter food so bad its good! but the one I knew closed when I was in junior high I think. ummm think I just dated myself oops.
as for the best place for nanchos in west chester pa at a pub called courtyard well it was more of small restarunt pub and awesome nanchos!

A Fenway Frank at Fenway Park is good, but for my money I’ll take a Dodger Dog.

Still, good nachos are better.

Does the hotdog/sausage have a rash on it?

Depends on the buns.

Sonic’s extra long chili cheese coney is pretty great with extra onions, but neither dish is particularly great until you add pickled jalapeno slices. But if it’s the tasty cheese and the chips aren’t too stale, no dog I ever encountered beats a good batch of nachos.
