Hivesourcing request

Hi guys! I’m finishing up a silly little new app for meat eaters. It’s called ‘Carniscore’ and it’s like a ‘meat scorecard’, a list of animals (organized by order) that people might conceivably eat. You check off animals you’ve consumed the way a birdwatcher might check off a new bird they’ve seen in the wild, etc. Nothing too serious, but I’d like to have a strong list of plausible animals from which to generate the ‘score’ (which the user can then post to Facebook).

I’ve made the following Google Docs spreadsheet publicly editable and populated it with a rough start. I figure there’s probably plenty of missing critters and maybe some there that don’t belong. If you’ve got a couple minutes, could you take a quick look at the list and add any you can think of? If you see something dumb listed (I’m not sure about some of the farmed insects I have, for example) increment (if it’s 2, make it 3. If it’s blank, make it 1, etc) the ‘votes against’ column.

There’s no login required, and if you’re not sure about which order an animal is in, just add it to ‘Unknown’ at the bottom and me or someone else who knows will fix it.

Thanks in advance, fellow carnivores!

After the blackout, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_meat_animals might be a help.

That was the exact document I used to define my structure and seed my list.

Fish added

Cod
Swordfish
Sole
Plaice
Haddock
Kipper

Awesome, thanks! The list has definitely grown/improved a lot since I posted, y’all + my Facebook friends rock!
