Clueless? May I recommend Say Anything …
Better off Dead
?? Hm. I’m drawing a complete Blank.
LOL, oh I’m quite familiar with it Hence my oh so subtle reference to another great Cusack flick, Grosse Point Blank.
Ahhh…it did a fly over on me…hello blonde!
Thanks for the positive vibes, kitteh! Whenever we do an arc like this we always look for a way to take listeners on a fun ride through the content. Sometimes it goes off without a hitch, and sometimes, well, it doesn’t. But we always have some kind of fun in mind, and with this one it’s no exception.
Hope everyone enjoys. And I suspect we have a surprise or two for those who jump on the CLUELESS SUX!!!oneoneuno bandwagon.
This should be pretty damn awesome - haven’t seen some of these in a while. Really liked Clueless - still have a huge crush on Stacy Dash
I agree. Clueless was awesome and unexpected in the way it defied the cliche.
Embarrassed to say I don’t think I’ve seen “Dazed and Confused” or “Superbad.”
Seen Breakfast Club of course.
She’s fooooooooooooooooooine
Does John Cusack’s Grosse Pointe’ Blanke count as a high school movie?
What happened to “Before I Sleep” being part of the SG Time Travel arc?
That’s be a beauty way to wrap it up.
“10 YEARS!”
That’s be a beauty way to wrap it up. One more week? ONE MORE WEEK! ONE MORE WEEK!
“10 YEARS!”
Oh, you’re gonna dig this.
Superbad, I’ve gotta say, starts off a little rough, with a lotta young-man-sex-and-porn talk. Ride out the first ten minutes, and that stuff goes out the window.
Nice. I don’t think I’ve ever gone wrong with a ferris recommendation.
Clueless is awesome. Don’t feel bad, I haven’t seen Breakfast Club.
I feel like the Arc should be renamed to “Guilty Pleasure” rather then “High School”. I just don’t think of High School when I think of any of these. Also, what is up with all the Cusack talk? He has never been a teenager!
But they are about high school.
Also how the frak haven’t you seen Breakfast Club?!
Ha ha. He he!!
I love my new Clueless Avatar
Scrawny little early-teen-years Cusack is all over the early John Hughes movies in supporting roles, and if you haven’t seen Say Anything, his Lloyd Dobler character is unforgettable… He has a nice li’l role in The Sure Thing (directed by Ron Reiner, featuring Anthony Edwards, too). And not to mention One Crazy Summer and Better Off Dead… Arguably, he’s had a better career than most of the 80s actors best known for teen roles.
