Is it possible to do calculus, integration & differentiation, using an abacus?
integrate 0.5 x dx? or derivative 2 x²? maybe. but you have to remember the rules anyway. so all it does is do the arithmetic for you. Abacus is not going to help with more fancy stuff unless you remember the rules already…
when it comes to trigonometry, integration and differentiation, i take my chances with a slide rule… or my trusty TI-89
