I’ve read through 3 trades ( seeds of destruction, The Chained Coffin and others, and strange places). Pretty cool stuff. Great artwork/story. All the references to myths / legend makes up great story ideas.
I usually spend my pennies on manga comics, but once I found Hellboy (and the BPRD comics) I knew I had to read and collect them all! Then both movies on DVD. I’ve always liked Mike Mignola’s art, and the stories are so strong that I didn’t mind some of the alternate artists whose art styles were, let’s say, rougher?
I also like the mythological bent to the smaller, more focused stories, and the way that the modern world intersects with the mythical one.
