I just tried it on a friend of mine who was talking incessantly about his new shoes.
Yes. Sadly, it doesn’t work for most non-Vulcans.
when i give massage to others, the Vulcan nerve pinch is part of the package
What a silly question. Of course I did! Nerve pinch, the kirk judo chop/dive/roll flying kick — had my mom sew me a red shirt uniform with lieutenant sleeve stripes.
Dressed up in my uniform and went with my friend to the boston museum of science (he had a science blue uniform/ lieutenant stripes) and one of us would pretend to pass out and the other would revive the other by pressing a hypospray (magic marker acutually) into the arm.
I was the real thing, baby.
Hasn’t everyone?!
Yes, back in high school. I was annoying unfortunately.
Some would argue I still am. d:
Of course.
When Spock does it, he is so suave about it. It’s quick and effortless. Spock is cool, man. I knew being a human and all it wouldn’t work for me but I figured if I applied enough pressure (since Vulcans are stronger than humans) it might work.
My victim? Let me tell ya. One day in the schoolyard, there was this kid shooting spitballs and being a real jackhole. I was leaning on the fence trying to avoid the mayhem and basically go unnoticed. I guess it worked since the jackhole was being chased and decided to hide right where I was standing, well in front of me anyway. He stood there with his back to me, giggling. I reached up and firmly applied the Vulcan neck pinch. He went down like a bag of nickles. He wasn’t unconscious (unfortunately) but he did grab his shoulder and writhe in pain on the floor. Eventually the group of kids who were chasing him found him on the floor and found it amusing. Before they arrived, I made myself scarce.
Wow. You’ve got quite a bit of hand strength… (Too easy?)
Be sure to use your power responsibly.
Not really. The real trick is to get inside the collar bone and pinch…oh wait I see what you meant. You!!
I never tried the ‘nerve pinch’ because I knew it was fake. But in grade school I did do the classic Kirk:‘kick them in the stomach and when they double over in pain bash them over the head with a double fisted strike’. Everyone who had been watching the fight stood with their mouths open in wonder, esspecially since they had been cheering for the other guy. When I glared at them ( as if they were next) they ran away, leaving their would be champion rolling on the grass in pain crying at my feet…
It was epic! No one messed with me for months after that…
I don’t remember trying to give the Vulcan pinch to anyone, but I was was once a recipient. One time…in the fifth grade, I was screwing around on the chalk board while the teacher was out of the room. All of a sudden there’s this searing pain in my neck and I was very willing to go where I was lead, which was back to my seat.
