I wonder if she’ll be in the remaining episodes? Perhaps Cavil found earth and has taken her hostage? I wouldn’t think Galactica would return there unless they send a raptor for some reason. Or maybe we have seen the last of her.
As much as I’d like to see her I think she is not listed in the credits for the finale.
Given what I’ve heard about the production, I doubt that Lucy Lawless will be back (unless it’s a flashback to a previously shown scene).
But that doesn’t mean it wouldn’t be nice to see her again.
I’m pretty sure the end of her story was supposed to be that she simply stayed behind on Erf. It was the “end of line” for her, you could say. Earth was her goal like it was many others’, so she had no where else to go and nothing else to live for. It didn’t play very obviously in her final scene with Tigh, though, and then it got overshadowed a few seconds later by the reveal of Ellen as the Fifth.
i’m going to have to agree that i dont think we’re going to see her again. altho i have this image in my head where for some reason they need to get her, and like adama sends this whole cool rescue party back to earth, and they find her on the beach, and they’re like “time to go.” but as season 4.5 has been going on, ive been actively paying attention to the amount of time that elapses during and between episodes. its been over a few months since they found earth. there’s no way she could have survived that long. which is a shame. it would have been really cool to have her character come back to play some important role in the finale.
Yes, I don’t think we’ll see D’Anna again. Too bad she was a good, solid character. Sad to see her in despair at the end.
Though D’anna may not show up in the final episodes, I have toyed around with including a Model 3 with the “cast of characters” for my machinima comic book fan fiction series, towards the last half of the series (but I would have to figure out a way to keep her, and the Model Eight in the group, from being infected by the virus seen in “Torn” and “A Measure of Salvation”, since the comic group will be on board that Basestar that is sent to the nebula).
Ron Moore confirms this on his podcast to “Sometimes a Great Notion.” D’eanna’s arc is closed, alas.
D’Anna stayed on Erf. RDM stated in a podcast that Lucy’s schedule precluded her from appearing in any further episodes which is why they left her back on the Planet.
You know it’s sad I’d almost completely forgotten about her with all the other craziness going on! It makes me sad to think we will not see her again
I was just thinking back to that viewing theatre, and what a surprise it was, when we found out D’Anna a was a cylon. Very cool indeed.
