I’m not sure that Dee would be looking after Hera, presumably it’s a battleship with families on board so they would have 24 hour daycare available for the military. And Athena and Helo are both military people and are aware they could be sent on long missions without their families. I’m sure they have friends that visit Hera, probably take her out for a few hours.
Why do they even bother putting those bald caps on? Even under the best circumstances it looks fake, but when the actor has long hair it looks ridiculous. I’m sure if they had just put a bandanna on her head we would have got the point. There wasn’t any plot reason for it and it’s hard to feel sorry for the character when the large head makes them look alien and healthy.
you’re totally right trillian-but you would think that with everything Athena went through with Hera before that she would be hesitant to completely be away from her-I would think it would be different if she was on a mission b/c she knew Helo was there, but to leave her in daycare after what the prez did last time…
And I wonder what she told them in the case she didn’t come back from the mission with Starbuck-the same way Callie told Adama back in the s3 episode where they were stuck in the airlock to give her and chief’s babe to a family-I wonder who Athena would have said to give the baby to if something happened to her and Helo on that mission.
The Coneheads movie, while not a masterpiece, has an oddly high quality to it. It’s a nice litte piece. And, here’s the lattice of coincidence for you: It’s on cable this month, HBO or Starz I think.

This was more titillating in terms of knowing how big the fan reaction would be than actually sexy- mostly due to the sadness in Natalie and nameless-Six as they kissed.
I do. I don’t think there is ANY way they both would have left her- one of the few really displeasing choices lately, considering how AWESOME the show has been. I think they would have taken her or one of them would have stayed, end of story.
I wonder what they would consider worse-bringing their kid with them on the poo barge where they may all die and never come back from, or leaving Hera on Galactica where who knows what might happen to her without them keeping an eye on her…
We know the Galactica has day care. The question is who is running day care, though. That is a road we’ve not gone down yet.
Now that’s a real sitcom-the normal day care staff gets sick so Tigh and others on the staff have to fill in and help out feeding babies/etc.
Has anyone mentioned the surface similarities between Kira/Laura’s vision of the river and Riverworld?
No idea-but another similarity is the ability to resurrect (aka download) in Riverworld too…
