GWC Podcast #98

Les skeeves sont sur la table.

Le sange, est sur la branche.

Didn’t she lead the independent tribunal in season 1?

worked for Nomad

¿está el skeeve en casa?
sí, está con una amiga.
¿dónde están? ¿en la sala?
no, en la tina de gu.

To borrow an exclamation from the world of the Homestar Runner: “ENGLISH!”

no, that was the master-at-arms, Sgt Hadrian. Mathias was way cooler–and better looking. Hadrian was kinda woofy.

lol! Sherlock translates you like this:

he is skeeve in house? yes, it is with a friend. where they are? in
the room? no, in the bathtub of gu.

awesome!

Meisnt du Das, oder sagst du das nur so?

Yes, Objectivism. Interestingly (and sadly?) enough, I think that in a major poll from not too many decades ago, the book the vast majority of American adults said was most influential in their lives, second only to the Bible, was Atlas Shrugged. I work in rare books, and we get requests for signed Ayn Rand all the time. So she has her devotees…

Thanks for wading through my previous dense post. I don’t always “talk” in such a stilted fashion – the “one” for “you” and all that. Ergh. :frowning:

Wow. My head is spinning! How do you know all of that? I bow down to your comic book knowledge. It is clearly superior to that of anyone I have ever “met”.

Do you hear the weird Dylan music ? It’s coming out of the frakking laptop !!

Yes! This is what we need: Admrial Adama to confront the final Cylon with some irresolvable illogical paradox, so the toasters’ heads will start smoking, spinning, and explode!

I have another translation of Lady D’s dialogue.

Skeeve wa ie no naka ni imasu ka?
Ee, tomodachi to arimasu.
Doko desu ka. Heya desu ka.
Iie, Goo no yokusou desu.:stuck_out_tongue:

Cavil mismo el skeevy

Cavil very skeev
In his bathtub of warm goo
Sad Boomer gets towel

I used to be customer service manager at Mile High Comics in Denver, and I got the job with my encyclopedic comic memory…coulda gone to med school, but no, I had to fill my brain memorizing what “SHIELD” originally stood for (“Supreme Headquarters of International Espionage Law-Enforcement Division”). Sad, really. A word of advice to teenage boys who read comics…don’t try to impress a girl trying to explain the storyline of “Crisis On Infinite Earths”…Scary.

ak:(

Lil Heroes news…

Now, if anyone can conjugate “skeeve” in Klingon – that’d be impressive.

I KAP-AR!
You KAP-ARI!
We KAP-ARSONS!

Only like 20 minutes in, but this is one funny 'cast.

I think this Adam Sandler skit (audio only) says all there is to say about why the long-hair guy is in the Baltar Cult.
