Huh… Audra speaks of 19 year old groupies who try to find religion down ones pants like its a bad thing…
Really great job, guys. This was by far the best live podcast I’ve heard, and I’m quite the podcast listening junkie.
Sleep well, man. All of you guys did an amazing job. A million thank yous!!
Where were these skanks when I was in Catholic school?
Wow – and I’m saying this sight-unseen (sic) on the podcast. Spent seven hours driving today, but I did it in the wife’s car, which can’t handle mp3 discs, and I don’t have the wherewithall to break to such a big podcast into standard CDs. It was like being grounded. But at least I have it to look forward to.
Savoring the thought… thanks/bravo in advance!
Same here Khelsey. I have been dragging all day but it was so much fun! Totally worth the fuzzy head today. In closing, all I can say is, “Cheeseburger!”
I had a great time, I was glad that i got on the air with you all, although I am much funnier in my own head, than I was on the cast! The calls from Chase and her friends was awesome!! Where else can you get that kind of insight and personality? I would say that this was one of the best yet, but they have all been great, all 94 of them. By the way, I am already buying party supplies for #100!!!
great job Audra, Chuck, and Rev.
OMGs! I can’t believe we’re already closing in on 100!
I had a handful of technical(aka lag) issues during the live recording, but other than that it went off great! You guys did an awesome job pullin this thing off.
cheeseburger
Alright. I have to say i missed all the fun. That and the early SciFi broadcast via internet stream.
Anyway, I appreciate the extra effort put fourth by the GWC crew on this long awaited event.
That said, does anyone feel the episode was a somewhat filler episode? Not that that was a bad thing, just nothing was resolved. Was it?
I wanted something more concrete after such a long wait, not necessarily the final Cylon reveal, but a “TO BE CONTINUED” is frustrating.
Any Thoughts? BTW, I had to watch the episode two more time after the original viewing.
You’re speaking of the BSG episode, not the GWC episode, right? If so, I don’t think I’d go so far as to call it “filler,” but I felt the same way about the “to be continued.” That was the only thing I didn’t like about the episode; after a year’s wait, even if they weren’t going to answer a lot of the questions they posed, I was really thinking we’d get a story with a beginning, middle, and end this time. Instead, it seemed like it was a continuation of CRII, setting up even more dominoes that are going to be knocked over throughout the rest of the season and cause all sorts of havoc. I’m actually surprised TPTB didn’t do something like they did for the opener for Season 3 and air a two-parter together in one night. That way, they could’ve given the mysteries room to breathe and resolved a few more questions other than the Balcubine cult. But, I’m being picky–judging from how many times I yelled at the TV in shocked disbelief, I’d say it was a pretty good episode.
I felt like the “to be continued” was a little weak. I am in no way convinced that there is any way that Kara will shoot Roslin. Of course I didn’t believe for one second that Kara was dead either. Maybe if I had paid attention to the credits and seen her name removed from them I would have wavered a little, but I didn’t. I guess that there will be a HUGE show down between Roslin and Kara, but it will probably end with Kara storming off and spooling up the FTL drive without permission and jumping away from the fleet back toward the nebula.
All this said however, I was in no way disappointed with the episode. The opening battle was WOW, and I love that we have slightly confused and dragged along by his shirt collar Baltar. He is much better that way.
Yes I though it was a bit weak as well, raised yet more questions than answers-which is what I thought was not going to happen.
How the Frak did Kara get a new viper?
Geiko. Geiko
They may as well use that as the place in the show, cause I"m trying to think of how they’ll explain it that will not be a disappointment to viewers and I can’t think of one. I guess I’ll just have to have faith in the writers.
Does she not remember her encounter with not-creapy-not-Leobin? If not then she wouldn’t remember her life-changing encounter with her mother either, making it a useless event. I"m confused.
I loved the “to be coninued…” Why? Because it totally means we’re going it see all-out story arcs like we did in the final season of DS9. There’s a layer of story you just can’t fill in with single episodes; it takes a five, seven (or ten!) episode arc to create it. I’m so pleased they’re going that way.
And it seems to me that they told us quite a lot in this episode: the final four really are Cylons – or are at least something really special. Starbuck isn’t just Starbuck, and she’s something special, too. Big stuff!
And my favorite result of this episode is that it has us thinking less about human vs. cylon and more about right vs. wrong/good vs. evil. As Lee said, we need to worry more about whose side she’s on than what Starbuck is. That might go for the final four as well.
And I think it’ll eventually have to go for the cylons and their metal creations, too. Heady, isn’t it?
I would like to see in the next episode is Kara point out to Laura that she went back to Caprica to get the Arrow of Apollo based purely on faith that Laura really did see visions and knew the plan of the gods to get them to Earth. Now that Starbuck is in the same position with similarly unconfirmable knowledge that the others have to take on faith, she isn’t being shown the same respect.
That being said, it doesn’t necessarily mean that showing faith is such a situation is the smart thing to do…
Wow. Excellent, excellent point.
Cheeseburger! Cheeseburger!
I am downloading #94 right now. I can’t wait to hear the scrubbed-out audio!
I wonder what the GWC crew have planned for the #100!
