That would be Puck’s closing speech at the end of Midsummer Night’s Dream indeed.
Ah, so my brain isn’t turning to mush due to all these days of wild temperature swings. It has been kinda difficult working with days starting out at an air temp of 28 degrees when I get out of bed to only the go up 42 degrees over the course of less than ten hours. I’ve been surprised I have made it so far with all that weather wackiness.
Audra, I should thank you though. You’re story of David Sedaris finally reminded me to get on-line and by tickets to see him when he comes to San Jose at the end of the month. Should be a good time.
…there once was a man from Nantucket
oops, sorry -family site
There was a man from Nantucket
Who kept all of his cash in a bucket
His daughter, named Nan,
Ran away with a man,
And as for the bucket, Nan took it
Pa followed the pair to Pawtucket
(The man and the girl with the bucket)
And he said to the man,
“You’re welcome to Nan,”
But as for the bucket, Pa took it.
Then the pair followed Pa to Manhasset
Where he still held the cash as an asset
And Nan and the man
took the money and ran
And as for the bucket, Man has it.
(What? No one knows the original?)
Wow, I’m in shock.
wow–never heard that version—my version was much more adult fare
I was relistening to bits of the podcast and remembered something I had wanted to look up.
link original Boxey actor to Patrick Stewart in…how many steps?
(the thingamabob doesn’t include Shakespeare.) (and it’s not so fun if you haven’t heard of the linked folks or movies. but it’s kind of interesting. isn’t it?)
there was something else I had remembered…but I forgot it again.
the really bad Hugh Jackman movie that came to my mind was Van Helsing.
the other thing that I forgot but remembered just now…Husker learns to fold a sweater…

don’t you want to see that BSG-ized? exciting!
When Sci-Fi sez “immediately,” I think they actually mean “penmediately.” Comment aimed at Sci-Fi Channel, not the hosts; it’s one thing to misspeak, another to mis-hype.
“You keep using that word – I do not think it means what you think it means.”
I agree with Lady D, Billy wouldn’t have gone to the illegal lengths to win the election that Tory did (wether good or bad). In the end Roslin decided not to change her stance, and to cede victory! Blame her and Adama for that bit of the human tragedy, not Billy.
If you want to get pissed at Billy, he messed up the human race the most in that now he can never be president!
