For me the thought of ‘GWC culture’ brings this to mind:
Could you share your thoughts about why Iron Man, so in particular strikes a nerve with you? Yes, Iron Man is awesome and that’s reason enough, but that’s not what I mean. After hundreds of podcast we’ve heard you get excited about lots of things, but it seems to me Iron Man is something beyond special to you.
I can’t speak for Chuck, but I get the feeling for a lot of us, Iron Man is not only the super hero you could be, but would be. Most of us are not in a fury fueled quest for vengence like Batman. If we were superheroes, sure we would try and promote world peace, and that stuff, but we would also know how to throw a party!
Also, I think its a little bit like when we were talking about Indiana Jones and Daniel Jackson. Academic knowlage on archeology, for them has the practical use of SAVING YOUR LIFE! For Iron Man its the same way with technology.
Well we need to find them before the V’s find us…o_O!

I love the Firefly arc and couldn’t stay away from forum anymore. I’ve listened too long and now need to get into the action, let my geek flag fly. I’m actually from the future. It turns out Hawking was right and we shouldn’t contact aliens. They came down and 9 out of 10 humans died from their diseases. After that they enslaved us and tried to convert us to their religion. Hundreds of years later they made everything okay by giving us the casino rights. Now I write for my older brother’s guidebook for time travelers. Was suppose to go back but got hooked on GWC. I’m here to stay. Thanks for the great show, it gets me through work!
