I have a hard time seeing Newt with Hicks (even if she is grown) due to the chemistry he had with Ripley. But, I can see Newt being a total badass.

Ditto. I was out for a bike ride today, and when the cast got to “You Should Have Listened To Ripley”, I had to stop. I LOVED it! I also was LOLing freely during the last 45 minutes or so. People riding by me must have thought I was a mental patient…

I’m not sure it IS the worst of the 4 films. Ripley had firepower at her disposal again, an android sidekick, she was kicking Alien @$$ and taking names again. I liked it 100 times better than Alien 3.
Other Comments:
Like I said, Alien 1, 2, & 4 were great, but I also really like AVP (the first one in the arctic, I like to pretend AVP2, in the small town, never happened). Anyway, in AVP1 we meet the founder of the company and learn Bishop was modeled after the founder. We also see why the company programmed their ships with the secret directive to investigate if these Aliens were ever encountered them again. They had records from the AVP encounter, so they knew they were out there to begin with.
I like to watch the Predator movies, then AVP, then the Alien/Ripley movies, and when they’re watched in that order they form a loose saga which puts the first Alien movie in a whole new light.
I love the jumps from topic to topic, I was just confused with this particular transition.
