Remember: If this is your first GWC podcast, don’t miss our standard weekly two-hour ‘casts.
ARRRGG! I just finished a frak party and before I log out, I see this message. Now I have to download and listen to this episode before I go to sleep.
Oh Chuck, why couldn’t you have posted this in the morning?
Much thanks for the bonus 'sode though.
Yes!!! Just in time for work and I didn’t even have to drink my Felix Felicis. What will a lucky day be like?
I’m glad that you had a podcast about Eureka. I hope that you’ll be able to return to this topic later.
The quirky music is composed by Bear McCreary, so it’s no wonder that it’s just perfect for the show.
Seasons 1, 2, and 3.0 are all available on DVD.
Sweeeeet! This will make some of my mindless work I have to do this morning fly right by!
More later once I listen to the 'cast…
So cool that Colin called in. The GF and I are huge fans.
BTW, Did you guys ever explicitly say that Sarah is a house?
I can’t stop grinning ear-to-ear about this 'cast. Well done. Fun, informative, entertaining. If people didn’t see it, here is a link to my blog post on Eureka.
Was Chuck just talking about how to get “proper head” with Colin Ferguson?
Yes. Yes, it was.
Thanks for the extra episode. I started watching Eureka from the pilot and haven’t missed a show since. Like Sean said, I can’t imagine the show not having the quirky humor that it has. I would recommend watching the show from the beginning, not because you need the previous episodes to understand the current ones, but all of the episodes are a lot of fun to watch.
I too recommend people go back and also watch the whole series from the start too. The pilot is interesting because you can get a sense that they changed the direction of the show, and the fact that they re-cast Alison’s love interest. Also, despite being such a quirky show, I defy people not to well up a bit at the season 1 finale. It is a time travel episode, but done in the best way possible. The plot plays homage in the best way to my favorite DS9 episode The Visitor.
Also, given that it is also filmed in Vancouver there are a lot of good BSG/Eureka crossovers. Jo was Hera’s adoptive mother, and Sheriff Andy was Major Kelly just to name two…
Thanks for the bonus cast, it helped make my day go faster while I was helping the Network/PC guys by loading software on machines that have to be rolled out by the end of the month. Boring work but made much better by having a GWC 'cast playing.
I’ve only watched a few episode of Eureka from first season, but have it in my Netflix queue.
Hello there :D. I love Eureka. I always thought of Sheriff Carter was a genius when it came to investigating since he solves the mysteries that apparently no one else can.
Oh and if anyone is interested Sarah has a twitter feed @S_A_R_A_H
Great podcast, as always. Colin Ferguson was such a great interview. I like him even more now than I did from this show and other roles he’s done, if that’s even possible.
One question, though: Is it just me, or did Chuck completely have a “senior moment” on his name toward the end of the 'cast? There was a pause, and then he called him “our guest”.
I wonder if the Mexican corollary to the town of Eureka is called Ay Carumba… it’s just that things don’t go as well in that town because the sheriff’s the genius and the scientists are normal.
No, I had a “Chuck moment” which is when I think of something entirely different to say, stop mid-sentence to work through it in my mind, then realize after a period of silence – really annoying in conversations, I might add – that I need to continue.
That’s WAY different.
I’ve watched the show pretty much from the beginning, and the only thing I’d change would be to bring back the full opening credits. That tune is catchy!
If I ever get interviewed, I want you guys to do it. You are great interviewers.
Awesome 'cast. Thanks!
You’re right! That’s awesome! I knew I recognized Sheriff Andy but I couldn’t place him - probably because of the big goofy grin.
Hera’s adoptive mother is HOT.
