Star Trek XII: Spock’s Brain
As another space miner in EVE… I have to agree with Chuck’s assessment that this gives a bad impression of space miners. To be honest, we’re decent hard-werkin people, and nine times out of ten we’re the ones who’re on the defensive, not the other way around. Plus, mining vessels aren’t that sinister. We can’t even target planets in EVE!
I love pushing around you miners.
BTW-I wondered where the goatfraker thing came from, Sean your an evil man.
Star Trek contributes to the delinquency of miners.
ya just couldnt let that pass could ya?
well done!
Hardcore joke:
Bana plays a miner threat.
It’s because of you our insurance premiums are so high! D:
He did wield a straight edge…
Even rocked the shaved head.
Edit: further in the podcast and obviously y’all HAVE seen Sarah Connor, so edited this to say instead:
Talking about Skynet learning and evolving, not to say spoilers for folks who haven’t seen T:SCC yet but there’s that plotline following the development of an AI that may or may not be becoming Skynet; I really think that in the show they do an absolutely exceptional job of showing how scary-good such a machine could learn and how it would then act.
Maaaan I’m going to miss that show, pretty much every aspect of it (at least for the second season) was gold. I especially loved the way they slowly and subtly crept in some rather heavy aspects of changing time and how that would play out with the kind of time travel that’s possible in the Terminator universe, and then it starts ramping up until suddenly the finale hits you like a ton of bricks.
Who’s going to the 12midnight show Thursday?
In the line of terminators going back to the 1800s, I bring you:
It is a truth universally acknowledged that a zombie in possession of brains must be in want of more brains." So begins Pride and Prejudice and Zombies, an expanded edition of the beloved Jane Austen novel featuring all-new scenes of bone-crunching zombie mayhem. As our story opens, a mysterious plague has fallen upon the quiet English village of Meryton-and the dead are returning to life! Feisty heroine Elizabeth Bennet is determined to wipe out the zombie menace, but she’s soon distracted by the arrival of the haughty and arrogant Mr. Darcy. What ensues is a delightful comedy of manners with plenty of civilized sparring between the two young lovers-and even more violent sparring on the blood-soaked battlefield as Elizabeth wages war against hordes of flesh-eating undead. Can she vanquish the spawn of Satan? And overcome the social prejudices of the class-conscious landed gentry? Complete with romance, heartbreak, swordfights, cannibalism, and thousands of rotting corpses, Pride and Prejudice and Zombies transforms a masterpiece of world literature into something you’d actually want to read.
LOL!! Okay, I’m going to have to check it out.
Yep, That’s right.
