GWC Podcast #131

I agree with chuck’s idea about what’s worse your grandmother being killed or forgeting who you are?

It’s not my grandmother I would miss it’s the relationship.
Side’s from that I agree with adura so FAR in the movies I don’t see X as a true evil basturd.

Adura you are by far one of the most kind hearted people I know of.
I have never heard of someone wanting a power for those kind of reasons.
It’s a nice change:)

Frrrrresh Air, Lol! Wow, I don’t know if I could handle being in the guest’s chair. There’s something easier about being the one asking the questions!

Gives Cody a kiss on the head
Why thank you!

Random interjection on the 6 Degrees of Geekdom: Famke Janssen was also in the final running for the role of Jadzia Dax on DS9, and the updated look of the Trill (spots instead of forehead ridges) was based on the look of her empath character from “The Perfect Mate”.

If I had to pick a power I would have everything Jean can do. I could right so much stuff in the world.
Can’t wait for the next podcast!

RE Mutants defined:

According to the official Marvel Super Heroes RPG, Mutants are those born with powers as a genetic mutation.

Others, like Spiderman or the Hulk, are defined as “altered humans”

From wikipedia, which in this case I concur with:

“Each character had an origin, which put ceilings on a character’s abilities and superpowers. The origins included: Altered Humans (normal people who acquired powers, such as Spider-Man or the Fantastic Four), High-Tech Wonders (normal people whose powers come from devices, e.g., Iron Man), Mutants (persons born with superpowers, such as the X-Men), Robots (created beings such as the Vision and Ultron), and Aliens (a blanket term used to cover non-humans, including extra-dimensional beings such as Thor and Hercules).”

Being a guest on Fresh Air would be so bad. Just have your answers on how your relationship with your parents affected your work well rehearsed…

Wolverine Trivia: In – if I recall correctly – the Infinity Gauntlet story, like 1990 or so:

This cosmic bad guy, Horde, enlists the X-Men to steal this crystal of ultimate power. And whoever gets it first wins and recieves total ultimate power. And they’re right about to get it, and Horde reveals himself as a bad guy and kills everyone and tears out Wolverine’s heart.

But a splash of Wolverine’s blood touches the crystal, which has infinite power and energy and whatever. And it’s enough to regenerate Wolverine from a single drop/splash of blood. And he uses his mysical power to put things right back like they were.

So, point being, with enough energy, apparently, Wolverine can grow back from just a scrap.
