Maybe Hoshi will be really happy to see him when Felix makes it back home?

Questions regarding the initial section, “Nine days after the discovery of a devastated Earth”:

A. None of the names on that list of Gaeta’s are names we know. What could the list be?

B. The hand cutting flashes look like the time that Athena sliced open her wrist and ran Galactica’s computers through her blood to clear them of the Cylon logic bomb. It also seemed vaguely ritualistic. Thoughts?

C. What is being implied about Gaeta and the Eights???

D. Is anyone else sketched out by Brooks, the knuckle-dragger in the Raptor? He gives me the uh-oh feeling.

A. I’m still going with deathbed confessional–there’s a flash of somebody handing him a paper in a tent in that same sequence. (Not that he’s going to die, but he thinks he is). I’m betting it’s a death warrant he didn’t stop but could have, or maybe it’s the list of people Duck killed in the suicide bombing Gaeta tried to abort after it turned out Baltar wasn’t going to the ceremony.

B. Maybe she’s cutting her hand open to try to plug into the Raptor to fix it, and then she gets fried by an electrical problem? That would be a really gruesome way to go.

C. Something is definitely up there, and with that specific Eight.

D. He strikes me as the guy who’s going to get all “The Cylons did it!” paranoid when things start getting really bad.

I’m kind of lost at this point, though, as to what’s going on. The next one is Monday? How did they jump to the ‘wrong’ place?

And Tigh’s still with the humans… iiiiiiiiiiiiiinteresting. I wonder if the Cavils showed up to Earth too and that’s why they left…

I agree that the kiss was very well done, like the relationship is already established and not a big deal, they are a couple like anyone else.

There was a bunch of lead up to it over on Skiffy, which as normal, people over there blew things out of proportion and made it something it wasn’t before even seeing it. Not everyone, but there are still some - which is what makes me love this community even more.

I really want to know how they ended up in the wrong place, do they get back, what is going on.

But it is new content, which is a good thing.

One of my questions about the webisode is about the 8s. When the two 8s and Gaeta are getting into the Raptor one of the 8s has on civilian clothing and the other 8 is in the Cylon flight smock. So are the Cylon pilots and the humans mixing active flight crews and are some of the Cylon pilots stationed off of Galactica? I have more questions but ill toss this one up first.

Damn. I knew it was coming, but I was hoping it would be different this time. Damn my optimism.

Can’t watch the webisodes from my frakkin’ location.

Guess will have to wait for the youtubers/titborrenters. Though they’re usually quick to load, so I really shouldn’t be complaining.

M’kay, here’s my detective work for the day. If you were to cut up the webisode so that it runs in chronological order, you get this:

When the fleet’s all together, and Gaeta is still on Galactica, the backdrop clearly shows us either a nebulous gas area, or the fringes of Earth’s atmosphere. I guess it depends on how close they’re sticking to the actual Erf.

When the Cylon’s jump in (and I think I counted 4 basestars on the dradis in the background), Gaeta’s raptor jumps into an area of space that’s clear…no nebulous clouds or atmo to be seen.

At the end of the 'sode, Gaeta’s raptor is seen again on the edges of a nebulous cloud similar to the scene before the jump.

So I’m surmising that Gaeta’s raptor maybe makes a jump back to where it left the fleet, and is waiting there for help while the air/power runs out. But if so, where’s Cavil’s armada?

And one of the eights is clearly being protective of Gaeta, like a mom to a toddler.

Damn, you’re making me feel all venal and base. Maybe I was just hoping for a big delicious tongue kiss because I’ve wanted Gaeta to come leaping out of the closet (maybe by ripping his shirt off a-la Lee upon finding earth?) for so long. Truthfully, it was a cute kiss. Hoshi’s hand on his neck was so gentle and adorable.

I’m not sure it’s a ‘like anyone else’ moment, they were a bit secretive. Then again, that might have been b/c of the Morpha.

OTOH, it was the kind of kiss you give to someone you’ve been with for a while, so the relationship is apparently not new.

Not sure what to make of the rest of it. Another ‘ticking clock’ plot, but lords know what’s actually going on.

Oh don’t worry, I wouldn’t have minded a big sloppy kiss either, but I am kinda glad they didn’t go that direction. This way made it seem more normal, and not “oh my god they are gay”. There seems to be too much taboo in this country about being gay, especially in the mainstream media. I think that is why I love Brothers and Sisters, and Torchwood so much, they treat a gay relationship just like any other relationship, which I think is a step in the right direction.

I am not gay, but have several friends who are, and I would love for them to have the same rights as me, and I think the fact that shows are starting to portray gay relationships in a more truthful, normal way is a start to changing our society as a whole.

Yeah, I noticed that too, that he did look around like they were trying to hide something. I am hoping that it is more related to the morpha then the fact that they were in a relationship - but I don’t know that we will ever know. I am not sure if this will be included as part of Season 4.5, as much as I would like it to be.

But you are right, the relationship has definately been there for awhile, even if we didn’t see it on screen.

The main reason I don’t think it was something they were hiding is that Hoshi looking around happened when they heard a noise and before he gave him the Morpha, not when he was getting ready to kiss him.

Of course we don’t know what the colonials, nor the colonial military think about same sex relationships - as it has never been touched on other then Razor, and well IMO that wasn’t very well handled. One of the bunnies brought up a good point - what if same sex relationships are outlawed because they can’t propogate the human race (similar to Roslin out lawing abortions), so maybe they need to keep it secret.

I am hoping they address it in the show, but I don’t think they will. I get the feeling that this was an after thought, which is kinda sad, because one thing this show has done is brought the tough topics to light and making us think about them. I just don’t think the writers even thought about including it. I don’t think they conciously avoided it, it just never came up. I think if the rest of the season had been being written now, after the election we may have seen some sort of mention of it.

I’ve been wondering the same thing (may have posted, but I don’t remember.) That’s a big part of the ancient prohibitions about homosexuality (must increase the tribe,) so it would make sense.

First things first…When i saw Felix walking with a cane my first reaction was “its House”. My second reaction was i don’t like Felixs dirty mustache. It doesn’t suit him.

Now for the rest of it.

The Count down clock…taken with Gaetas labored breathing i think it might be time of oxygen remaining.

He has enough Morpha for 90 hours worth of injections if he follows the directions. That is enough for him to give one injection to someone else and use the rest for himself. I also wonder if he will develop an addiction to Morpha…which i kind of have a feeling he might have…but then again i might be channeling House

Not to break any hearts but i wonder if Geata does have an addiction is he using that guy to feed it. I saw care in his eye but something about Geata didn’t strike me as being all there. that may have been the pain talking though

The 8 in the pretty cloths closes her eyes and takes a deep breath right before the jump. Its looks like she is scared of something. I do get the sense that she is Boomer and knows that something bad is about to happen.

Also can we assume that the other 8 is Athena? Why is she not flying the Raptor? i know its a routine shuttle? also why are the 8’s going to the Zepher?

I kind of have a feeling that Felix may be then fifth Cylon. He is defiantly on my short list now, and not cause of his stature.

Its nice to know now that the Zepher is the new R & R ship. They must have fun in the spinny section.

Thats the direction they were heading right before they jumped and there were no other ships nearby. also i think it was mentioned in a previous episode or maybe in a RDM podcast.
